Shalani Gogawale enters her second season as the Coordinator of Volleyball Operations at the University of Florida.
She is responsible for all of the behind-the-scenes aspects of the volleyball program, including team travel, NCAA compliance, ordering and distribution of equipment, assisting with recruiting correspondence and campus visits, as well as serving as the volleyball office's liaison to the Gator Attack Club. She also oversees the volleyball budget and supervises the student manager staff and operations assistant.
Gogawale joined the Gators after one season as the assistant director of women's basketball operations at Oregon State University. There, she assisted with all day-to-day operations of the team, including travel, accommodations and meals, community service, film exchange and the team's summer camps.
Gogawale previously worked with the women's basketball staff at the University of California, handling the day-to-day operations of the office, recruiting database and budget.
Before joining the Cal athletics department, Gogawale served as an intern for the NCAA working in Diversity and Inclusion, where she helped coordinate professional development conferences for student-athletes, coaches and administrators.
Gogawale earned her bachelor's degree in sociology from Southern Illinois University, where she was a member of the cross country and track teams. Upon finishing her degree, she was a recipient of the NCAA Ethnic Minority Postgraduate Scholarship. Gogawale graduated from Cal with a master of arts degree in education.
