Kris Bova is in her second season as UF's starting setter, but has seen plenty of court action already in her career...In her two years in the backup setter role, Bova played in every match, seeing mostly defensive action in that time, but added an extra advantage as a second setter on the court...Is an offensively aggressive player, too...Worked hard in the off season and enters her senior campaign in top form.
Career Highlights: Currently sixth all-time in career assists at UF with 1,583...A member of the 1999 Pan-American Games training squad with former teammate Jenny Whitehead.

As a Sophomore (1999): Led the squad in eight matches in digs...Had 11 matches with double-digit digs...Posted a match-high 19 digs at No. 5 Pacific in the NCAA East Region Final even after suffering a contusion to her lower back...Had a match-high 13 digs against No. 23 Arkansas in SEC Tournament final...Led all players with 14 digs in home win against South Carolina... Also tied career-high .667 hitting efficiency in that match...Had 17 digs in a win against No. 9 UC Santa Barbara... Served a career-high four aces vs. No. 26 North Carolina...Recorded 18 digs vs. No. 3 Nebraska in the SunTrust Invitational in Gainesville...Career-high 21 digs in a 3-2 win over No. 1 Penn State in the State Farm/NACWAA Volleyball Classic...Ran the offense at setter and dished out 19 assists through the second half of a three-gamer at Jacksonville.
As a Freshman (1998): Saw the most action of the class, playing in 120 of 131 games...Posted six double-digit dig performances...Served two straight aces, including the game winning point, in the first-round NCAA Championship match against Chattanooga...Had 13 assists and a match-high eight digs against Wyoming in the Nebraska US Bank Tournament...Started for the first time as a setter for the Gators against Pittsburgh in the SunTrust Invitational...Registered three kills, 31 assists, three digs and two blocks in that match...Got her first starting job as a Gator against UCLA and had one ace and eight digs in that match.
Prior to Florida: Led her high school team to a runner-up position in the state championship her junior year, the first time since 1985, and twice captured the Metro Conference Championship and a first-place finish in the Nike Preview Tournament... Her club team placed eighth at the Davis Festival and also competed in the National Qualifiers and NJC Tournament...Was named to the West Bend Sprawl All-Tournament Team, first-team All-Conference and All-State three times each...was twice named Metro Conference Player of the Year and to the all-area team...Received honorable-mention All-America honors...named to Volleyball magazine's Fab 50 list...Also played basketball for three years, including a trip to the state championship as a junior...Is a Women's Sports Advocate recipient...Was an honor roll student.
