Advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the first time in her career, placing 23rd in the shot put with a throw of 14.89m/48-10.25 … Turned in a personal-best mark of 15.93m/52-3.25 at the NCAA Preliminary Rounds (5/27) to punch her ticket to the NCAA Championships … Sixth in the shot put at the 2010 SEC Outdoor Championships with a mark of 14.98m/49-1.75 to help a 1-2-6 finish by the Gators in the women’s shot put at that event … Personal-best mark in the hammer throw came at the Seminole Twilight Invitational, as she was second with a throw of 46.42m/152-3 … Was second in the shot put college division at the Penn Relays Carnival (4/22) with a toss of 15.22m/49-11.25 … Competed in the shot put at the Tom Jones Memorial Classic (4/17), placing fifth with a toss of 15.50m/50-10.25 … After sitting out most of the 2010 indoor season due to injury, came back at the 2010 SEC Indoor Championships (2/28) with a personal-best toss and a fourth-place finish in the weight throw at 18.59m/61-0 … Scored five points for her team and helped the Gators to the 2010 SEC Indoor Championship.

A three-time state champion at Jacksonville’s Wolfson High School … Coached by John Long, Mark Farrar, Ron Brooks and Rodney Hall … Was the 2006 FHSAA Class 3A state champion in both the shot put and the discus, and the 2007 state champion in the shot put … Also was the Gateway Conference Champion in the shot put in 2007, breaking the conference record with a toss of 45-0 feet … High school squad won three regional championships during her time at Wolfson … Twice placed third at the AAU Junior Nationals in the shot put … Graduated in the top-10 percent of her high school class … High school personal bests include 45-0 (shot put) and 131-6 (discus).
