PRIOR TO FLORIDA: Has personal bests of 11-6 in the pole vault and 17.8 in the 100m hurdles... Owns pole vault records at two high schools, (10-3) at Wellington High and (11-6) at Belleview High... Team was County and District Champions in 2001... Has won awards for gymnastics and horseback riding.

PERSONAL: Born Jessica Lorin Stern February 22, 1983... Competes for the Mid-Florida Blazers club team, on which she won the AAU state championship in the pole vault... Sister, Erin, is a high jumper and multi-athlete for the Gators... Also considered attending Florida International, San Diego State, Miami, Georgia and Georgia Tech... Daughter of Ira and Gail Stern.
