2000: Best of 140-2 in the javelin... Competed in just one meet outdoors before being sidelined with a broken finger in her throwing hand.

PRIOR TO FLORIDA: Has bests of 134-8 (41.06m) in the javelin and 121-1 (36.90m) in the discus while competing at Georgia Tech from 1995 through 1999... Took fourth place at the 1999 ACC Championships in the javelin (131-9)... Won the 1999 Gatorade Classic competition with a throw of 133-2... Finished fifth in the 1998 ACC javelin championships... Holds four of the top five individual javelin performances in GT history... Redshirted the 1996 outdoor season.

PERSONAL: Born May 1, 1977 in Orlando, Fla... Daughter of Steve and Wanda Evans.

MAJOR: Graduated from Georgia Tech in 1999 with a degree in chemistry and is pursuing a master's degree in food science at Florida.
