2001 AS A SOPHOMRE: Best of 2:05.86 (800m)... Competed in 12 meets (five indoors, seven outdoors)... 21st in the 800m at the Reebok Invitational, 2:11.00... Fourth in the finals of the SEC Championships 800m, second qualifier out of the preliminaries... Ran the second leg of the winning 4x800m-relay team at the Penn Relays (with Ka. Bratton, DeLeon and Merten)... Provisional qualifier for the NCAA Championships with an 800m time of 2:05.86 at the Sea Ray Relays... Second to her sister in the 800m at the Florida Challenge... Ran on the winning distance medley relay team at the Florida Relays... Improved her qualifying status and set a new personal best in the 800m with a 2:07.87 at the USATF Championships... PRIOR TO FLORIDA: Has personal bests of 2:10 (800m), 5:11 (1,600m) and 55.9 (400m) in high school... Owns her high school's 800 and 400m records and was a part of the record-setting 4x800 relay team... Was the Florida state champion in the 800m and the 4x800m relay... Runner up in the 1,500m... Junior Olympics 800m champion.

PERSONAL: Born May 7, 1981 in Orangeburg, S.C... Daughter of Chris and Deborah Bratton... Graduated from Bradenton Christian in 1999... Coached by Chris Bratton, her father... Used to hate the 800m and the mile... Has a daughter named Shaleiya... Lists her most memorable moment in her athletic career as when she saw the picture in the newspaper of she and her sister hugging after crossing the finish line in first and second at the Junior Olympics 800m... Most admires her sister because they push each other do work hard... Track athlete she admires most in track is Marion Jones.
