1998 AS A FRESHMAN: Competed in the 1500m in both the Barnett Bank Invitational and the Nebraska-FSU Triangular, finishing ninth both times... Set a personal best of 4:50.72 at the Barnett Bank Invitational 1500m.
PRIOR TO FLORIDA: Member of the 4x800 meter relay team that won state and broke the state record...1996 Region I champion in the 1,600 meters...Holds the mile record at Lake Brantley High School...Was the 1996 USATF Junior Olympic State Cross Country champion...Took 40th place at the 1996 USATF Junior Olympic National Championships in cross country.
