1999 AS A SOPHOMORE: Did not compete outdoors while recovering from tendinitis... Took fifth at the SEC Indoor Championships 5000m in 17:15.23, a new personal best... Set a new personal record in the 5000m with a time of 17.20.38 at the Virginia Tech Invitational, improving on her already seventh best individual performance in Florida history..

1998 AS A FRESHMAN: Took fourth in the 5,000m (17:17.01) and 10,000m (37:34.44) at the SEC Outdoor Championships... Led UF with a third-place finish in the 5,000m with a seasonal-best time of 17:29.37 at the SEC Indoor Championships...Won her first collegiate track event at the first meet of her career in the 5,000m at the Florida Intercollegiate (17:34.84)

PRIOR TO FLORIDA: Champion of the Vulcan Classic National Cross Country meet (5,000 meters) with a record time of 17:10.16...Was the 3,200m State Champion in 1997...Placed third in the Florida State Cross Country Championship in 1996...Finished second in the Florida Relays in the 3,200m...Co-recipient of the All-Northwest Florida Female Runner of the Year in cross country and track in 1997...1993-95 first-team selection for All-Northwest Florida.

PERSONAL: Born on January 8, 1979 in Honolulu, Hawaii...Parents are Kenneth and Margaret McGranahan... Has a twin sister, Ann, who runs for Villanova, and two other sisters, Mary Margaret and Julie...Received diploma in the International Baccalaureate Program.
