2011 AS A JUNIOR: Had his finest season as a Gator, earning two All-America honors and two SEC titles … Captured SEC titles both indoors and outdoors, claiming the 2011 SEC Indoor Championships heptathlon title (5,816) and the 2011 SEC Outdoor Championships decathlon title (7,828) … Had his best performances of the season on the grandest stage in college track, finishing fourth in the heptathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a career-best and school record 5,890 points … Captured fifth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a career-best and school record 7,914 points … Took home the Mt. SAC Relays decathlon title (7,791) … Won the heptathlon at the Texas A&M Challenge with a score of 5,747.

 

2010 AS A SOPHOMORE: Captured the SEC Decathlon Championship for the second consecutive year (7,652), good for second-best in school history … Finished third at the Mt. SAC Relays (7,566), a career best at the time … Finished 15th at the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Championships (7,262) … Finished no lower than second during the 2010 indoor season, capturing second in the heptathlon at the Texas A&M Challenge (5,538) and the SEC Indoor Championships (5,653) … His 5,653 at SEC Outdoors was a career best at the time and was second in UF history.

 

2009 AS A FRESHMAN: Turned in one of the finest freshman seasons in school history, becoming the first person in school history to win a Southeastern Conference decathlon title … Earned All-America honors at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Championships, placing 11th (7,490) and shattering his own freshman school record …  Broke the school freshman decathlon record en route to winning the SEC Outdoor Championships (7,389) … Finished seventh at the prestigious Texas Relays (7,067) in his first collegiate decathlon … Placed second at the 2009 SEC Indoor Championships in the heptathlon (5,586), recording five event personal-bests along the way … Finished third in his first collegiate heptathlon at the SEC/Big 12 Showdown with a score of 5,384.

 

HIGH SCHOOL/PREP: Has captured a total of 11 medals at USATF Junior Olympic Meets … Finished first in the pentathlon at the 2008 Nike Indoor Nationals after finishing second the year before … Was the 2004 USATF Junior Olympics National Champion in the youth division of the pole vault in 2004  … Team captured the 2006 OHSAA Division III State Championship … High school squad won the Northwest Central Conference four consecutive years … Holds his high school’s records in the high jump (6-7.50), pole vault (15-6), long jump (22-4) and 110m HH (14.31) … Also part of a school-record-setting 4x200m relay (1:29.8) … Lists his most memorable track and field moment as upsetting the two-time state champion in the pole vault to win the 2006 Ohio state pole vault championship … Coached by Joe Horn – his grandfather -  on the Ohio Blue Thunder club … A four-year All-Northwest Central Conference member of his high school football team … Was named to the All-Ohio Division 6 team for football in 2007-08 … Football team twice advanced to the state playoffs during his playing days.
