2012 AS A JUNIOR: Competed in the javelin in four outdoor meets on the year, finishing as high as fourth at the Tom Jones Invitational (51.55m/169-1) and throwing a season best 55.96m/183-7 at UNF North Florida Invitational.

2011 AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE: Competed in the javelin in seven meets on the outdoor season, throwing a personal-best 63.02m/206-9 at the 2011 Pepsi Florida Relays, finishing fifth … Won the UCF Invitational with a javelin throw of 59.62m/195-7 … Finished third at the FSU Twilight meet with a throw of 61.76m/202-7.

2010 AS A SOPHOMORE: Only competed in one meet all year, throwing a 55.31m/181-5 at the 2010 Florida Relays while competing as an unattached athlete.

2009 AS A FRESHMAN AT TENNESSEE: Competed in five meets for Tennessee his rookie season … Posted a season-best of 60.11m/197-2 in the javelin at the Bulls Invitational in Tampa, Fla.

HIGH SCHOOL/PREP: Originally enrolled at East Carolina, but transferred to Tennessee prior to any competition ... High school coaches were Bob Costello and Kerry Whitman … Ranked third in the nation by USATF for high school javelin throwers ... Placed fifth at USATF Junior Nationals in 2008 ... Placed seventh in the javelin at the Penn Relays as a senior ... Finished as the runner up in the WPIAL Championships as a junior ... Also an all-state wrestler and all-conference football player at Laurel Highlands High School.
