2001 AS A SOPHOMORE: Best of 7-4.5 (High Jump)... Competed in 16 meets (six indoors, 10 outdoors)... Tied for 15th at the NCAA Championships, clearing the first height... Second at the SEC Championships with a personal record and an automatic qualifying mark of 7-4.5, second all-time at Florida... Won his fourth consecutive high jump with a 6-9.75 at the Sea Ray Relays... Won the Florida Relays collegiate division with a mark of 6-9.75 in a steady rain storm... Cleared an indoor collegiate personal best 6-11 at the Gator Invitational for his first career win... Finished fifth at the SEC Championships, clearing 6-9.75.

Fifth at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Santiago, Chile, 7-1.75 (2.18m)... Second in the USATF Junior National Championships, 6-10.25... Sixth in the SEC Outdoor Championships High Jump, 7-0.5 (2.15m)... 10th in the SEC Indoor Championships, 6-8 (2.03m).

HIGH SCHOOL/PREP: 1999 Prep All-American... Tied for second in the nation in the high jump on the 1999 prep list at 7-2, a personal best he achieved while winning the '99 Florida Relays high school title and tying the meet record... Golden West Invitational (Sacramento, Calif.) and Golden South high jump champion... Two-time state champion in the high jump... All-area and all-conference in track... Holds the Martin Country record in the high jump. High School Coach: Bruce Wells.
