CAREER NOTES: Left school midway through the 2009 fall semester … earned a berth to compete in the 2009 NCAA Doubles Championships … older sister Megan was a member of the Gator squad during the 2008-09 season with her … enrolled at UF in January of 2009.

 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2009-10)

Played in just one individual tournament during the 2009 fall semester before leaving school midway through the term … won both singles and all three doubles matches she played at the Gator Fall Classic in late September.

 

AS A FRESHMAN (2008-09)

Awards: Voted All-Southeastern Conference Second Team by the league’s coaches … earned a bid into the NCAA Doubles Championships … Co-Evelyn Pucket Most Improved Player (team award)

 

2009 SPRING

Singles: Final National Ranking: none; Season-High National Ranking: 115 (March 17) … all 25 matches were in dual match competition, with a 15-4 record at the No. 4 spot and a 4-2 mark at No. 5 … ended the season on a seven-match win streak which included three wins in the NCAA Championship and the clinching victory in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament … last two wins came versus nationally-ranked opponents and both to players she lost to during the regular season, improving her game to produce a convincing 6-4, 6-1 decision over Georgia’s 93rd-ranked Monika Dancevic in the NCAA Round of 16 after losing 7-5, 6-0 in the regular season and a 6-2, 6-2 win against Florida State’s No. 106 Federica Suess, whom she lost to in three sets during the regular-season meeting … her 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Tinesta Rowe was the clincher in the emotional 4-3 victory over Fresno State in the ITA National Team Indoors … 5-2 in clinching matches … 3-3 versus ranked opponents, with highest-ranked foe Southern California’s No. 67 Gabriela Niculescu, whom she defeated 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.

Doubles: Final National Ranking: 28 (with Anastasia Revzina); Season-High National Ranking: 25 (with Revzina, April 27); Final ITA South Region Rank: 7 (with Revzina) … played all 24 matches with Revzina, with 23 in dual match action where the pair posted a 19-4 record including 8-2 in SEC action … went 14-1 at the No. 2 position and 6-3 at No. 1 … lone non-dual match was in the NCAA Doubles Championships, which was a 7-5, 7-6 (4) setback to TCU’s Harkins and Sydorska … won final nine dual matches completed, including both in the SEC Tournament and in the first two rounds of the NCAA Championships … 10-3 in clinching matches … 2-5 record versus nationally-ranked teams.

 

2008 FALL

PRIOR TO FLORIDA

Enrolled at the University of Florida for the 2009 Spring semester … trained at T Bar M Racquet Club for one year and three summers ... attended and received her high school diploma from Grace Community and Spring Creek Academy before arriving in Gainesville ... coached by her father Greg Alexander and Dave Licker ... named a five-star Blue Chip recruit by the Tennis Recruiting Network; the website also listed her as the second-best recruit out of the state of Texas in her signing class … advanced to the semifinals of the USTA girls 18 national championships in 2008 in Berkeley, Calif. … partnering with Lauren Embree, captured the 2008 Pan American Closed ITF Doubles Championships … also reached the doubles finals of the South Carolina ITF and the USTA International Spring Championships, both in 2008 … won the 2007 Texas Super Championships, Excellence SCMZ … singles semifinalist at the 2007 USTA National and the USTA ITF Junior Circuit … finalist at the 2007 USTA ITF Circuit BG18 … runner up at the 2007 Tennis Express USTA/ITF Championships, losing a hard-fought 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 decision in the final … advanced to the round of 16 at the 2007 Easter Bowl and the 2007 Orange Bowl Championships … career juniors doubles record of 48-19 … won the USTA Girls’ 12 Super Nationals Hard Court Championships in Alpharetta, Ga., in 2003.
