Doubles: Final National Ranking: 32 (with Boonstra) … played all 15 doubles matches during the entire year with Boonstra … posted a 4-2 record in dual match action … final two matches were tough losses, with a 9-7 setback to UCLA’s Remynse and Schnack in the ITA Team Indoors Round of 16 and an 9-8 (16-14) loss to North Carolina’s Marand and Grabinski … 2-0 in clinching doubles-point matches … compiled a 2-2 record during the entire year versus ranked opponents.

 

2008 FALL

Singles: Compiled a 5-3 record while competing in three individual tournaments … reached the round of 16 at the ITA South Region Championships, the round of 32 (second round) of the Riviera/ITA All-American Qualifying draw and the semifinals of the Gator Fall Classic Flight A draw.

Doubles: Played the entire fall season with Boonstra and posted a 7-2 record, highlighted by winning the ITA South Region Championship … blanked Georgia Tech’s No. 46-ranked Nickey and Striplin, 8-0, in the ITA South Region final ... Alexander and Boonstra did not take the automatic bid earned from winning the region title to a spot in the main draw of the ITA National Indoor Championships … reached the quarterfinals of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships and the semifinals of the Gator Fall Classic Flight A draw.

2008 SPRING

Singles: Final National Ranking: 95; Final ITA South Region Ranking: 22; Season-High National Ranking: 17 (Fall 2007) … notched 13 singles wins during the dual match season, mostly playing in the third spot in the lineup ... topped UCLA’s Yasmin Schnack in the NCAA Semifinals to earn one of UF’s two points ... topped 48th-ranked Courtney Ulery of Vanderbilt 6-3, 0-6, 6-4 from the No. 3 singles position clinched the win for Florida over No. 5 North Carolina with a 6-1, 6-3 win over 72nd-ranked Austin Smith ... blanked Stetson’s Natalie Gorham 6-0, 6-0 to clinch the dual-match season opener for the Gators.

Doubles: Final National Ranking: 12 (with Boonstra); Final ITA South Region Ranking: 2 (with Boonstra); Season-High National Ranking: 5 (with Boonstra, March 4, 2008) … teamed with Boonstra (15-4) and Frangulyan (4-1) during the dual-match season, mostly playing in the No. 1 doubles position ... Alexander and Boonstra won their first 10 matches as partners and only lost one match during regular season play ... teamed with Boonstra to beat the 21st-ranked team of A. Taylor and C. Ulery of Vanderbilt in the NCAA Round of 16 ... defeated Tennessee’s seventh-ranked pair of C. Whoriskey and Z. Zubor 8-3 in the Gators’ win over the Vols ... took down the No. 8 doubles team in the nation, North Carolina’s S. Marand and S. Garbinski, with an 8-3 win to clinch the doubles point for the Gators ... outlasted the Duke pair of Amanda Granson and Melissa Mang, the No. 6 doubles team in the nation, by an 8-5 score.

Singles: Preseason National Ranking: 17 … Fought back after dropping the first set to earn a 1-6, 6-3, 6-1 win over Auburn’s Melissa Koning to advance to the semifinals of the SEC Fall Classic Flight 1 ... Beat Southern Cal’s Sarah Fransler, ranked No. 10, in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 at the Riviera All-American ... Picked up two straight-set wins at the Gator Fall Classic.

Doubles: Preseason National Ranking: 52 (with Lolita Frangulyan) ... Played 12 matches with Frangulyan and picked up eight wins ... Teamed with Frangulyan to go 3-0 at the Gator Fall Classic ... Took down the No. 58 doubles team of T. Bertrand and C. Newman of Vanderbilt 8-2 at the Riviera All-American ... Collected two wins at both the ITA South Regional Flight A and the SEC Fall Classic Flight A.

Singles: Final Fila National Ranking: 25; Final ITA South Region Ranking: 7; Season-High National Ranking: 19 (March 6) … capped the season winning four of her final five matches, which included her run into the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Championships, where she opened with a thrilling 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (3) win over 10th-ranked Jenna Long from North Carolina, turning away one match point in the victory ... downed Stanford’s 20th-ranked Jessica Nguyen in the second round, before falling to eventual NCAA runner-up No. 5 Lindsey Nelson of Southern California 6-2, 6-4 ... played the No. 2 position in 18 of the 20 dual matches she completed, earning an 11-7 record at that spot in addition to a 1-1 record at the No. 3 court she played during the SEC Tournament … sported a career-long 12-match win streak that spanned from November into mid-February ... capped the dual match season winning her final two matches, which included impressive wins over UCLA’s 40th-ranked Tracy Lin (6-2, 6-4) in the quarterfinals and against Baylor’s 49th-ranked Zuzana Cerna (6-4, 6-1) in the Round of 16 ... dropped thrilling 6-4, 7-6 (12) decision to South Florida’s 61st-ranked Courtney Vernon in the second round of the NCAA Team Championships, almost coming back from a 5-2 deficit in the second set to force a third ... snapped a six-match skid with a hard-fought 6-4, 7-6 (2) victory over Georgia’s Yvette Hyndman in the SEC Tournament final, as Alexander earned the lone break in the entire match in the 10th game of the first set then rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the second-set tiebreak … named the SEC Player of the Week for her play during the matches of February 12-18, when she extended her singles winning streak to 12 in a row after posting two huge victories, helping the Gators defeat No. 22 Texas, 5-2, and No. 8 Miami, 4-3, as her thrilling 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 upset win over Miami’s 56th-ranked Audrey Banada at the No. 2 position capped the Gators' comeback and clinched the win against the Hurricanes … defeated Florida State’s 52nd-ranked Ania Rynarzewska, 6-3, 7-5, to clinch the 4-3 dual match win … 11-7 versus nationally-ranked opponents, including a 2-2 record during the fall season … 2-0 record in dual match-clinching matches.

Doubles: Final Fila National Ranking: 51 (with Diana Srebrovic); Final ITA South Region Ranking: none; Season-High National Ranking: 27 (with Srebrovic, April 3, 2007) … 17-4 record during the spring season, including a 17-3 record in dual matches … teamed with Srebrovic for the first 10 dual match pairings, posting a 9-1 record all at the No. 2 position, but partnered with Anastasia Revizna in every dual match afterward, earning an 8-3 mark at the No. 3 spot, including the 8-4 win over Baylor’s 49th-ranked Zuzana Zemenova and Iva Mihaylova in the NCAA round of 16, handing the Bear pair their first loss of the season (17-match win streak snapped) ... dropped a hard-fought 8-6 clinching loss to UCLA’s 41st-ranked Elizabeth Lumpkin and Stephanie Wetmore in the NCAA quarterfinals ... tallied their first shutout (8-0) of the year during the NCAA First Round against Jacksonville’s Fernanda Carrero and Cristina Paiva-Flor ... followed that with a steady 8-4 victory against South Florida’s Liz Cruz  and Iciri Rai in the second round ... tallied a thrilling 9-8 (4) clinching win over Vanderbilt’s Courtney Ulery and Liberty Sveke in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament … 3-1 with Revzina and 4-0 with Srebrovic in doubles-point clinching matches.

 

2006 FALL

Singles: Preseason Fila National Ranking (Sept. 8): none … Fall ITA South Region Ranking (Dec. 8): 9 ... won the SEC Fall Coaches Classic Flight A title, winning four matches en route to her first singles title … her run to the final began with a 6-0, 6-0 win over LSU’s Mykala Hedbert and a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory over Vanderbilt’s 24th-ranked Taka Bertrand in the quarterfinals … first two matches of collegiate career were third-set super-tiebreakers, as she defeated Duke’s Elizabeth Plotkin 7-5, 3-6 (10-4) but lost to Miami’s No. 1-ranked Audra Cohen 6-3, 1-6 (10-4) at the Gator Fall Classic … only other loss was a 6-4, 7-6 (4) setback to Georgia’s 21st-ranked Natalie Frazier in the round of 16 at the ITA South Regional … 2-2 versus nationally ranked opponents … five of her seven matches went to a third set.

Doubles: Preseason Fila National Ranking (Sept. 8): none … Fall ITA South Region Ranking (Dec. 8): 8 (with Diana Srebrovic) ... paired with Srebrovic (2-1) and Alex Liles (1-0) … reached the quarterfinals of the ITA South Regional with Srebrovic earning a pair of wins to begin the event, including a thrilling 9-8 (5) victory over UAB’s Elscholz and voSamson in the round of 32.
