Singles: Final National Rank: 49; Final South Region Rank: 14; Season-High National Rank: 29 (March 17) … anchored the No. 2 position in the dual match lineup, where she compiled a 15-5 record, including a 7-2 mark versus SEC foes … played the No. 5 spot the previous year … her 23 total singles wins during the entire year tied for the second most on the team … 3-1 in clinching matches, which included the thrilling 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 win over Georgia’s No. 43-ranked Yvette Hyndman in the regular-season home contest … also provided the clincher in the NCAA First Round over College of Charleston with her convincing 6-1, 6-1 decision against Holly Dowse … 11-9 record against nationally-ranked opponents during the season, with highest-ranked player defeated was No. 22 Maria Sanchez of Southern California 7-5, 6-2, in the ITA Team Indoor Championships (Feb. 14).

Doubles: Final National Rank: 28 (with Jessica Alexander); Final South Region Rank: 7 (with J. Alexander); Season-High National Rank: 25 (with J. Alexander, April 27) … tallied a 24-8 overall doubles record, including a team-best 21-4 mark in dual matches … paired with J. Alexander (19-5) and Barbara Pinterova (2-0) in team competition, settling in at the No. 2 spot, where she and Alexander were 14-1 (6-3 at No. 1) … lone non-dual match with Alexander was in the NCAA Doubles Championships, which was a 7-5, 7-6 (4) setback to TCU’s Harkins and Sydorska … won final nine dual matches completed, including both in the SEC Tournament and in the first two rounds of the NCAA Championships … 10-3 in clinching doubles-point matches … 2-5 record versus nationally-ranked teams.

2008 FALL

Singles: Tallied a 8-5 record in pre-dual match action, advancing to the round of 16 at the ITA South Region Championships, where she lost to eventual champion Chelsey Gullickson from Georgia … reached the final of the Gator Fall Classic Flight A draw and dropped a tough 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8) decision to Notre Dame’s Kristy Frilling.

Doubles: Posted a 2-2 record during the fall, in addition to a 1-1 mark in January’s Freeman Memorial prior to the start of dual match action … partnered with Joanna Mather (2-2) and Marrit Boonstra (1-1).

 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2007-08)

Awards: Second Team All-SEC … SEC Academic Honor Roll … Dorothy Anderson Scholarship Award, presented annually to the Gator who displays the best combination of academics and character on and off the court (team award)

2008 SPRING

Singles: Final National Ranking: 90; Final ITA South Region Ranking: 20; Season-High National Ranking: 50 (Jan. 8) … played mostly in the No. 5 singles position and only dropped two dual matches all season while earning 20 wins ... won 17 straight matches to finish the season, including five matches in NCAA Tournament play and two matches in the SEC Tournament ... clinched the Gators’ win in the NCAA Quarterfinals with a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 victory over Georgia Tech’s Noelle Hickey ... secured the match-winning point with a three-set win over No. 3 Georgia’s Adrienne Elsberry 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.

Doubles: Final National Ranking: none; Final ITA South Region Ranking: 11 (with Julia Cohen); Season-High National Ranking: 35 (with Cohen, March 4) …paired with Cohen to go 21-1 during the dual-match season, their only loss coming in the NCAA Semifinals to the 26th-ranked team of A. McGoodwin and Y. Schnack of UCLA ... helped Florida win the doubles point in 21 matches ... outlasted Arkansas’ 50th-ranked team of A. Bordeleau and A. Tigu 9-7 ... beat the 40th-ranked pair of Rybakova and Rynarzewska from rival Florida State 8-5.

2007 FALL

Singles: Preseason National Ranking: 74 … compiled an 8-2 record in fall action, including four-straight wins to start the season ... went 3-0 in the Gator Fall Classic ... defeated No. 33 Imke Reimers of Nebraska 6-3, 7-5 in the opening round of the Riviera All-American Qualifying ... topped 28th-ranked Yasmin Schnack of UCLA in the Freeman Memorial.

Doubles: Preseason National Ranking: 31 (with Whitney Benik) … teamed with Whitney Benik to notch a 3-0 record at the Gator Fall Classic ... also teamed with Benik to beat the No. 38 pair of C. Bailly and M. Mizyuk of Nevada at the Riviera All-American ... joined Lolita Frangulyan to win two matches at the Freeman Memorial Flight 1.

 

AS A FRESHMAN (2006-07)

2007 SPRING

Singles: Final Fila National Ranking: 105; Final ITA South Region Ranking: 26; Season-High National Ranking: 84 (April 24) … posted a 16-4 overall record, including a 16-3 dual match mark … played every dual match position except the No. 1 spot, rocketing up the lineup after beginning the season at No. 5 … every match was a straight-set decision … had her career-high 14-match win streak snapped in the NCAA Round of 16, when Baylor’s 74th-ranked Lenka Broosova handed her a 6-2, 6-3 setback ... earned a 6-2, 7-6 (2) victory over USF’s Jessica Sweeting in the NCAA Second Round, when she found herself on the receiving end of a 5-2 deficit in the second set before rallying to force a tiebreak ... won the first set 7-5 in her NCAA debut when play has halted … debuted at the No. 2 position in the SEC Tournament and led LSU’s Mykala Hedberg but led 6-2, 6-6 (6-6) when play was abandoned … provided the dual-match clinching heroics in the SEC Tournament semifinal against Vanderbilt by posting the biggest upset of her young career, defeating 28th-ranked Amanda Taylor 6-4, 6-2 … on the verge of forcing a third set against Georgia’s 34th-ranked Monika Dancevic when play was halted after the Bulldogs clinched the 4-2 decision in the SEC Tournament final … impressive 7-5, 6-1 road win against Vanderbilt’s 101st-ranked Taka Bertrand … posted a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Alabama’s Shelley Godwin … lone regular-season dual match loss was tough 7-5, 7-6 (3) decision against North Carolina’s Sara Anundsen … collegiate debut was a 6-3, 6-3 loss to Arizona State’s 90th-ranked Sabrina Capannolo in the first – and only – round of the Freeman Memorial in Las Vegas … 2-3 versus ranked opponents … 6-0 in dual-match clinching matches.

Doubles: Final Fila National Ranking: none; Final ITA South Region Ranking: none; Season-High National Ranking: none … all except one match was in dual-match action … compiled a 16-5 dual match record teaming with Megan Alexander (8-2), Csilla Borsanyi (4-2) and Lolita Frangulyan (4-1) … began the dual match season with Borsanyi before teaming with Frangulyan and finally pairing with Alexander in every dual match since their 8-2 win on April 6 against Vanderbilt’s Courtney Ulery and Liberty Sveke … dropped a hard-fought 8-6 clinching loss to UCLA’s 41st-ranked Elizabeth Lumpkin and Stephanie Wetmore in the NCAA quarterfinals ... provided the clinching doubles-point victory in the NCAA Round of 16, upsetting Baylor’s 49th-ranked Zuzana Zemenova and Iva Mihaylova, 8-4, snapping the Bear’s 17-match win streak and handing the pair its first loss of the year ... earned a steady 8-4 victory against South Florida’s Liz Cruz  and Iciri Rai in the NCAA Second Round to even-up the doubles wins that allowed UF to later clinch the doubles-point ... their first shutout (8-0) of the year came during the NCAA First Round against Jacksonville’s Fernanda Carrero and Cristina Paiva-Flor ... tallied a thrilling 9-8 (4) clinching win over Vanderbilt’s Courtney Ulery and Liberty Sveke in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament … in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament, earned a thrilling 9-8 (4) clinching win over Vanderbilt’s Ulery and Sveke that sparked UF’s 4-2 dual match triumph … lone loss with Frangulyan was a tough 9-8 decision to Georgia’s Natalie Frazier and N. Ueshima that clinched the doubles point in a 4-3 Gator dual match loss … 1-1 record with Frangulyan in doubles-point clinching matches, 1-0 with Borsanyi and 3-1 with Alexander.

 

PRIOR TO FLORIDA

Trained at Dinamo in Moscow from 1994-2006 ... in 2006, was ranked as high as No. 95 in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Girls 18 rankings, improving from the 2004 season when her highest ranking was No. 203 … in December 2005, won the G18 singles title at Ranhill ITF Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur … captured the 2005 G18 Chief Minister’s Cup doubles title in Sarawak, Malaysia with Anastasia Petukhova (RUS) … also won the 2005 G18 Ozerova Cup in Moscow with Petukhova … claimed the 2005 G18 Kramfors High Coast singles championship in Kramfors, Sweeden … member of the Russian Junior Team … took first place in an ice skating junior tournament.
