Spring: Posted a 9-5 record at the No. 6 dual match spot, including a 3-1 mark during the NCAA Championship ... celebrated her 21st birthday helping UF advance into the NCAA Final, however she did not record a decision in either singles or doubles ... 3-4 record at the No. 5 position ... went 3-0 during the SEC Tournament, where she provided the clinching team win against Kentucky in the quarterfinals and then avenged a regular season loss to Vanderbilt's Audra Falk, which helped UF secure the 4-3 win in the semifinals ... played a third-set 'super-tiebreaker' in two matches, dropping both ... was careful to suit-up for singles action as she was recovering from injury and did not join the lineup until the fourth dual match of the year (March 1 at Ole Miss) ... in her first two dual matches, took the loss by default after leading in both (3-1 vs. Ole Miss' Audra Adams & 7-5 vs. MSU's Justyna Switala) as a precaution once UF had clinched the dual match ...
Fall: advanced to the quarterfinals of the Omni Hotels South Regional Championships before losing to teammate Alexis Gordon 6-3, 6-2 ... lost her season opener 6-3, 7-5 to Kentucky's Amy Trefethen in the first round of the Gator Fall Classic.

Spring: Paired with Alexis Gordon for every regular-season dual match ... played all but one dual match with Gordon at the No. 2 position ... posted a major 8-5 upset over Stanford's 14th-ranked pair of Lauren Barnikow and Erin Burdette in the NCAA Team Final, caping a 3-0 record during the NCAA Championship ... provided the clinching doubles win in UF's NCAA Quarterfinal match, where Gordon and Scaringe trailed the entire pro-set against Janet Bergman and Maren Haus, but rallied for the dramatic 9-8 (3) win ... upset South Carolina's 41st-ranked team in the SEC Tournament final, giving UF the clinching doubles win en route to the Gator's title run ... most impressive win was the 8-3 victory over Georgia's 25th-ranked Tina Hojnik and Mariel Verban ... 6-3 in clinching matches deciding the doubles point ...
Fall: Paired with Lindsay Dawaf for the first time ever and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Omni Hotels South Regional Championships.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2000-01)
Awards: Dorothy Anderson Scholarship winner (combo team award of academics and character on & off the court) ... SEC Athlete of the Week (for the week of March 12 - March 18), when she won five singles & five doubles matches during the hectic week.

Singles: Final ITA Rank: 80; Season-high ITA rank: 52 (February 12); Primary dual match position: No. 5; record against ranked opponents: 4-4; record in three-set matches: 2-2
Spring: Entering the NCAA Championship had a dual match record of 15-3 at the No. 5 position and 2-0 at the No. 4 spot ... her 6-3, 6-2 victory over Alabama's Dominique Glinzler (April 20), provided UF the clinching dual match point in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament ... recorded five victories during a one-week span in March, after which she was named the SEC's Athlete of the Week.
Fall: Reached the semifinals of the Lady Seminole Classic, logging a 6-2, 6-4 upset over Auburn's 50th-ranked Andrea Piski in the quarterfinal ... upset 29th-ranked Alison Ojeda from Tennessee - the highest-ranked op ponent she has ever defeated - in the semifinals of the St. Mary's Health Systems Classic hosted by Tennessee, but lost to teammate Jessica Lehnhoff, ranked 16th, in the final... reached the semifinals of the Hurricane Classic, where she fell to no. 1-seed and 39th-ranked Alida Gallovits 7-5, 7-6.

Spring: Provided the clinching doubles point in four of UF's final five matches entering the NCAA Championships, including the comeback 9-8 (4) win over Georgia's Christa Grey and Lori Grey against whom she and Hazlett rallied from a 4-1 deficit in the game scoring and then again in the tiebreaker to post a 9-8 (4) win ... had a season-long 10 match winning streak snapped by Tennessee's Crystal Cleveland & Alison Ojeda (March 23).
Fall: Paired with Jessica Lehnhoff to win the Lady Seminole Classic, defeating teammates Lindsey Dawaf & Edit Pakay 8-1 in the final ... won the consolation draw of the St. Mary's Health Systems Classic hosted by Tennessee with Lehnhoff, upsetting UT's ninth-ranked team of Castellvi and Ojeda in the final... paired with Stephanie Hazlett to reach the finals of the Hurricane Classic, losing to FIU's Marina Faustellini and Anneliesse Rose for the title ... reached the semifinals of the ITA South Regional Championships with Hazlett, falling to South Alabama's Martina Ojdrejkova and Viktoria Stoklasova 9-8 (7-5).

AS A FRESHMAN (1999-00)
Singles: Season-high ITA rank: 44 (Feb. 16, 2000); Final rank: none; Primary dual match position: No. 6... provided UF's NCAA second round clinching team point with a 6-2, 6-4 win over FSU's Ali Weber... her 6-4, 6-1 win over Utah's Anna Stechert was the first time in her collegiate career that she provided clinching dual match point on April 4... secured UF's win over BYU (April 7) in the dual match, defeating Dominique Reynolds 6-0, 6-4... lost a combined total of just six games in her first three collegiate singles matches... reached the finals of the No. 2 Flight of the St. Mary's Health System Classic hosted by Tennessee, losing to teammate Jessica Lehnhoff 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, in the final... quarterfinalist at the SEC Coaches Fall Classic Consolation Draw, which did not compete after the QF round of the event... reached the finals of her first collegiate tournament, losing to Wake Forest's Adria Engel in the final... versus nationally ranked opponents: 2-4... in three-set matches: 7-3.

Doubles: Season-high ITA rank: 11 (Fall of 1999 with Jessica Lehnhoff); Final rank: none; Primary dual match position: No. 2 (with Traci Green)... has provided the clinching dual match point five times this season (all with Green) with five of those against top-10 ranked opponents, helping UF to 3-2 record...rallied from two breaks down to defeat Arizona State's Mhairi Brown and Megan Yeats in the NCAA quarterfinals... lost 8-4 to Georgia's 18th-ranked duo of Knox and Venkatesan, which clinched the 3rd-ranked Bulldog victory over UF and ended the Gator's 53-match SEC regular season winning streak... clinched the SEC Tournament semifinal win over 10th-ranked Vanderbilt... provided the clinching dual match point with an 8-6 victory over Ivona Mihailova and Ignatieva in UF's thrilling 5-4 team win over eighth-ranked Mississippi... the match prior to the win over the Lady Rebels, Green was part of the clinching point again, only on the losing end of an 8-5 decision to fifth-ranked Wake Forest's Bergman and Milton - ranked 34th - which snapped the Gator's 114-match consecutive regular season win streak... won the No. 1 doubles flight (with Lehnhoff) at the St. Mary's Health System Classic hosted by Tennessee... captured the SEC Coaches Fall Classic (with Lehnhoff), defeating UF teammates Baili Camino & Green, 9-8 (9) in the final... finalist at the Lady Gamecock Fall Classic (with Traci Green) in her first collegiate tournament.

PRIOR TO FLORIDA In 1999, Julia Scaringe competed in the junior draws of the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open, among many other tournaments... reached the round of the 16 in singles at the Junior Australian Open... advanced to the doubles finals of the 1999 Mali Cup in Thailand... singles quarterfinalist at 1999 Japan Open and 1997 Coffee Bowl.. doubles semifinalist at 1998 Canadian Open... placed third at the 1997 Girls 18's Doubles Clay Court Championships... 1999 ITF 18 & Under singles ranking of 54 and doubles ranking of 42... member of USA traveling team, which replaced the U.S. National Team... on the Jr. Davis Cup team that won three titles from 1994-96... 1996 high school state champions... trained at Club Pinecrest in Marietta, Ga., for eight years... coached by Jerry Baskin and Allan Owen...
