Aneta Soukup attended the University of Tulsa for just one semester - the Fall of 2000 - but did not compete ... she has three full years of eligibility remaining beginning in the Spring of 2001... won a bronze medal at the 1999 Pan American Games, representing her home country of Canada ... won the Canadian National singles in the Under 14 and Under 16 age categories, while finishing third in the Under age 18 tournament ... captured three professional satellite doubles tournaments and has reached the finals, semifinals and quarterfinals in several singles events ... ranked as high as No. 450 in the world in singles and No. 225 in doubles ... in the ITF Junior rankings was listed in the top-25 for singles and doubles ... posted wins over multiple professional players ranked in the top 300 in the world, including a victory in 1996 in Philadelphia over current top-50 player Mirjana Lucic ... coached by her father Milos and by Christian Zahalka.
