Spring 2012: Finished the season with a 20-6 overall record and a 6-1 mark in dual matches…Reached No. 102 in the ITA Singles Rankings…Had a 24-15 record in doubles, reaching as high as No. 25 in the rankings with partner Bob van Overbeek…Was 6-2 in three-set matches and 7-2 in tie breaks on the season…Provided the clinching point with a straight-set win at No. 6 singles against Alabama…Ended the season with a five-match win streak…Also had a five-match win streak that spanned from November to January…Reached the Round of 16 at the SEC Indoors in January…Defeated two opponents ranked in the top 100 on the year…Reached the semifinals of the SEC Indoors in doubles with van Overbeek.

 

Fall 2011: Totaled 12 wins with just four losses, including a win over No. 81 Jadon Phillips from New Mexico, 6-3, 7-6 (4), in the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.…His play in the fall earned him his first-ever collegiate ranking, coming in at No. 102 overall in the 2012 preseason ITA Rankings…Won four matches in the ITA All-American Championships pre-qualifiers to earn a spot in the Qualifying, but lost to No. 111 M. Hovhannisyan from Pepperdine, 7-5, 6-2…Advanced to the finals of the Lakewood Ranch Invitational with three-straight wins, but the final was scheduled against teammate Michael Alford and both players decided to withdraw…Also posted a 12-4 doubles record in fall action, teaming with Alford for a 2-1 mark and pairing with Bob van Overbeek for a 10-3 record.

 

FRESHMAN

Spring 2011: Finished 2010-11 with a 17-14 singles record and a 26-13 doubles mark…Named to the SEC All-Freshman Team…A regular part of the Gators’ doubles lineup, going 15-7 in dual doubles, while also posting a 6-5 dual singles record…Went 4-0 at No. 3 doubles with Bob van Overbeek in Florida’s four-day run to the 2011 SEC Tournament championship…Earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors on Jan. 26 after scoring the clinching win in UF’s win over Baylor and again on March 8 after going 4-0 combined over the opening weekend of SEC play, helping the Gators top LSU and Arkansas at home…Posted a four-match singles winning streak beginning on March 4 vs. LSU…Played a team-high 15 three-set matches, going 8-7.

 

Fall 2010: Posted a 10-7 singles record…Reached the quarterfinals of the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Championships, defeating two nationally-ranked opponents on the way…Also reached the Round of 32 at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Athens, Ga.…Won nine of his first 11 matches to open the fall…Also posted a 10-4 doubles record with Michael Alford…The pair were finalists at the Lakewood Ranch Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic in Bradenton, Fla., and reached the quarterfinals of the Texas Invitational in Austin, Texas.

 

Prior to Florida

A five-star recruit and the No. 20 recruit nationally, as rated by tennisrecruiting.net…Two-time Florida 1A state singles champion and added doubles state title in 2010 as a senior…Posted a 19-0 singles record his senior season… Advanced to the third round of the USTA Boys National Tennis Championships in Kalamazoo, Mich., in July 2010…Winner of the USTA National Open in Tallahassee, Fla., in July 2010…Finalist at the USTA Florida Closed Sectional in Daytona Beach, Fla., in June 2010…Featured in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd” section in the July 5, 2010, issue.
