Spring 2011: Finished the 2010-11 season 31-13 in singles and 21-14 in doubles…Earned ITA All-American honors in doubles, reaching the semifinals of the NCAA doubles championship with Alexandre Lacroix…Also received first-team All-SEC honors…Ranked 44th nationally in the final ITA singles rankings and 12th in doubles with Lacroix, as well as 88th with Michael Alford…Named the ITA Southeast Region Player to Watch…Reached a career-high national singles ranking of 28th on Jan. 4…His 52 combined wins are tied for 11th-most in a single season in UF history (Mark Merklein, 1991-92)…Posted a 7-2 record in three-set singles matches…Posted a straight-sets win over Alex Musialek on court two to help Florida to a 4-0 win over Kentucky in the SEC Tournament championship match.

 

Fall 2010: Received his first career national singles ranking as the preseason No. 111 player…Posted a 12-3 mark, winning nine of his final 10 matches of the fall…Reached the semifinals of the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Championships in Gainesville, defeating fourth-ranked Guillermo Gomez of Georgia Tech, 7-5, 7-5, in the quarterfinals…Closed out the fall by earning his first collegiate tournament championship, winning the Lakewood Ranch Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic in his hometown of Bradenton, Fla.…Nationally-ranked in doubles preseason at No. 56 with Bob van Overbeek, but the pair played just one match together during the fall season…Also played alongside Billy Federhofer, and the duo reached the Round of 16 in qualifying at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.

 

FRESHMAN

Spring 2010: Enrolled at UF in January 2010…Named to SEC All-Freshman Team after once earning SEC Freshman of the Week during the regular season…ITA Southeast Region Rookie of the Year…Earned All-Tournament Team honors at the SEC Tournament in Lexington, Ky.…Went 24-4 overall and led the team in dual singles wins with a 21-3 record, including 9-1 in SEC play…Ranked in doubles for much of the spring with Joey Burkhardt, peaking at No. 34, while going 16-11 overall and 13-10 in duals at the No. 2 position…Appeared in every singles position except No. 1, with 15 of 24 appearances at No. 5…Ended the season with nine consecutive singles wins, including victories in 17 of his final 18 decisions…Advanced to the quarterfinals in both singles and doubles at SEC Indoors, the first collegiate event of his career.

 

PREP: The No. 6 recruit nationally and a blue chip recruit according to tennisrecruiting.net…Won the 2009 Pan American Junior championship…Runner up at the 2009 USTA Junior National Clay Court Championship…Two-time winner of the USTA Kalamazoo Sportsmanship Award…Has five current ATP ranking points…Reached a high of No. 34 in the ITF Junior World Rankings.
