Competed in three events at the 2014 Phillips 66 National Championships in Irvine, California and recorded two personal-best times… Participated at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials… Was a member of the U.S. Junior National Team.
NCAA Championships: Placed 25th in the 200-yard butterfly (1:56.94), 42nd in the 1650-yard (16:35.81) and 56th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:48.22) … Her finish in the 200 fly was second highest by a freshman in that event… SEC Championships: Named as a 2014 SEC All-Freshman Team performer as she placed fifth (highest finish of any freshman) in the 200-yard butterfly with a personal-best time of 1:55.69… In addition, Katz placed 12th in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:22.58) and 19th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:44.10)… Made her Gator debut at the All-Florida Invitational as she won the 200-yard butterfly… Honors: SEC All-Freshman Team.
