sixth both individually in the 800m free and as a part of the 400m freestyle relay
team against top-ranked Auburn…In the win over FAU touched in a personal best
10:17.29 in the 1,000 free and finished fourth in the 400 IM (4:27.86)…At the
Georgia Tech Invitational, posted one top-20 finish with a 18th-place,
personal-best 4:25.04 400 IM performance and another career-low swim in the
1,650 free (17:05.76) to finish 20th in the field…Touched in 5:01.90
to take sixth in the 500 free in the victory against rival, FSU…Made collegiate
debut in the All-Florida Invitational with career performances in the 200 free
(1:56.47), 200 fly (2:12.37) and 200 IM (2:07.59).
Prior to Florida: Attended
The Baylor School, where she trained with the Baylor Swim Club under head coach
Dan Flack…the younger sister of former UF eight-time All-American Stephanie Napier,
who helped Florida win a national championship last season as a member of the
championship 200 free relay squad…Has had relay success of her own, achieving
All-America status and winning the 2010 state championship in the 400 free
relay…Also finished fifth in the 200 free and sixth in the 500 free at this
year’s state meet…Nationally, the Chattanooga, Tenn., native competed in the
2009 and 2010 Southern Zone Championships, setting the meet record in the 400
IM and winning the event both years.
