National/International
Competition: Qualified for the 2012 Olympic Trials in the
400 IM…Competed at the 2010 U.S. Junior Nationals in Irvine, Calif., taking 17th
in the 200 fly, 22nd in the 400 IM and 31st in the 400
free…Placed 15th in the 200 fly at the 2009 the Mare Nostrum International Meet
in Barcelona, Spain…A finalist at the 2008 and 2009 Missouri Grand Prix in the
200 fly and 400 IM.
2011-12: Swam
exhibition at the 2012 SEC Championships, finishing the 500 free in a
personal-best 4:52.04, the 400 IM in a career-low swim of 4:22.65 and the 200
fly in 2:02.33…Finished eighth in the 1,000 free (10:14.69) against
Tennessee…Finished fourth in the 200m fly (2:19.59) in Florida’s win over
Auburn...Also finished fourth in the 200 fly against FAU, stopping the clock at
2:03.90…Tallied a fifth-place finish in the 1,000 free in Florida’s win over
Michigan and Stanford, clocking in at 10:14.14…Recorded two personal-best
performances in the 100 (1:02.82) and 200 back (2:14.50) against FSU…Finished
fifth in the 200m fly against Georgia, touching in 2:22.78…Against Arkansas,
finished third in the 1,000 free (10:08.25) and seventh in the 400 IM
(4:28.69)…In her SEC debut against LSU, took second in the 200 fly (2:02.66),
third in the 1,000 free with a personal-best swim (10:08.25) and fifth in the
200 fly (2:02.66)…Made her NCAA premiere at the All-Florida Invitational.
Prior to Florida: Senior
captain of varsity swim team at The Bolles School
under head coach Sergio Lopez… Achieved All-American status at the 2010 state
meet, winning a gold medal as a part of the 200 free relay squad, along with
capturing silver medals in the 200 IM and 500 free at the 2010 state
championships…Helped The Bolles School win a team
state championship the last three years, increasing their state record to 20
consecutive team state championships…Part of The Bolles
School squad that won the 2009-10 national championship, awarded by the
National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association…Won a silver medal in the
200 IM at the 2009 state championships…Swam on the same high
school team as fellow newcomer Colin Hamilton.
