National/International Competition: Represented Iceland in the 2012 London Olympics…Enjoyed her best international meet at the 2013 FINA World Championships in Barcelona, Spain … Earned a pair of second swims, placing 15th in the 100 breast (2:29.30) and 13th (31.37) in the 50 breast … Owns Iceland’s three breaststroke records … Swept the breaststroke events and won the 200 IM at the 2014 Iceland National Championships … Participated in the 2011 European Swimming Championships, earning then career bests in the 50 and 100 breast…Represented Iceland at the 2011 FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China…Finished 26th in both the 200-meter IM and 100-meter breast, touching in 2:18.20 and 1:09.82, respectively…A member of the Iceland National Team who holds several Icelandic age-group records…Finished 12th in the 50 and 200-meter breaststroke at the 2010 FINA Short-Course World Championships in Dubai, while also placing 16th  in the 100 breast and 22nd in the 100 IM…At the 2009 European Short-Course Championships, placed 28th in the 200-meter IM, 29th in the 50 breast, 34th in the 200 breast and 36th in the 100 breast…Finished 37th in the 200-meter breast at the 2009 FINA World Championships, while placing 49th in the 100 breast and 47th in the 50 breast…Competed at the 2008 European Short-Course World Championships, finishing 25th in the 100 IM, 27th in the 100-meter breast and 30th in the 50 breast.

Broke both school breaststroke records her senior season at the Ohio State Invitational … First Gator to go sub-one minute in the 100 breast (59.55) … Boasts a career low 200 breast time of 2:08.37 … Earned three All-America honors, one individual and two on relays … Helped the Gators to school records in both medley relays at NCAAs … Came in third in the 200 MR (1:35.42) and fourth in the 400 MR (3:29.67) … Placed 12th in the 100 breast (59.65) … Finished 19th in the 200 breast (2:09.75) … At the SEC Championships, took sixth in the 100 breast (59.94), ninth in the 200 breast (2:09.33) and 11th in the 200 IM (1:58.28) … SEC bronze medalist in the 200 medley relay (1:36.20) … Tallied 10 individual and nine relay wins during dual and invitational season … 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll Selection.


2012-13: Gathered two All-America honors as part of the 200 and 400 medley relays at the 2013 NCAA Championships…Also finished 23rd in the 200 breast (2:10.94) and 25th in the 100 breast (1:00.63) at the national meet…Placed seventh in the women’s 200 breast final with a time of 2:10.88, ninth in the women’s 100 breast with a time of 1:00.15 and 15th in the women’s 200 IM with a time of 2:00.28 at the 2013 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships…Also joined the 200 medley relay that finished second in a UF school record time of 1:35.96 at SECs…Placed second in the 100 breast in a win over Tennessee with a time of 1:04.20…Claimed fourth with a time of 1:02.41 in the 100 breast and third in the 200 breast with a time of 2:15.38 and again in the 200 IM (2:02.74)  against Auburn…Won the 100 breast against Florida Atlantic with a time of 1:01.83…Claimed third in the women’s 200 breast with a time of 2:11.40 in the final and placed 11th with a time of 1:02.44 in the 100 breast  at the Ohio State Buckeye Invitational….Was seventh in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.42 at Florida State…Beat the competition in the 100 breast by edging out the field with a time of 1:03.28, placed second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:05.32 and fifth in the 100 free with a time of 53.23 at South Carolina…Came in third in the 100 breast with a time of 1:02.24 and fourth in the 200 breast with a time of 2:17.39 at Georgia…Traveled to the SMU Classic and tallied third place in 100 breast with a time of 1:02.57, fourth in the 200 breast with a time of 2:15.08 and ninth with a time of 2:03.51 in the 200 IM …Won the 100 breast with a time of 1:03.30 and finished fifth in the 200 breast with a time of 2:19.22 at the All Florida Invitational…Helped lead head coach Gregg Troy to his 13th consecutive top-10 finish at NCAA’s.


2011-12: Named to the 2012 SEC Academic Honor Roll…Collected three All-America honors at the 2012 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with performances in both the 100 and 200 breast, and as a member of the 400 medley relay team…Broke her own school record in the 100 breast after she stopped the clock at 1:00.05 to finish 13th at the NCAA meet…Finished fifth in both the 100y (1:00.60) and 200y breast (2:10.15) at the 2012 SEC Championships, recording a career-low swim in the 200y breast, besting her performance at last year’s NCAA championships, and added an eighth-place finish in the 200y IM (1:59.35) to make an appearance in each of her event’s championship finals…Finished second in both the 100y (1:02.24) and 200y breast (2:14.39) against Tennessee…Claimed both breast titles in the Gators’ victory over Auburn stopping the clock at 1:10.89 in the 100m breast and 2:33.44 in the 200m breast…swam a personal-best 59.49 in the 100y back against FAU….Took second in the 100y (1:02.35) and 200y breast (2:15.02) at the Georgia Tech Invitational…Touched in 2:18.22 for second in the 200y breast and in 2:23.71 for fifth in the 200m IM in the double-dual victory over both Michigan and Stanford…Against Georgia, finished two-three in the 200m (2:36.78) and 100m breast (1:13.48)…At the Dallas Classic, stopped the clock at 1:02.84 for second in the 100y breast, and at 2:16.28 for eighth in the 200y breast…Recorded a personal-best 5:02.92 for fifth in the 500y free vs. Arkansas, and added a win in the 100y breast (1:02.85)…Finished one-two in the SEC opener against LSU in the 100y (1:03.68) and 200y (2:17.46), respectively…Opened her sophomore season with a win in the 100y breast (1:03.62) …Helped lead head coach Gregg Troy to his 12th consecutive top-10 finish at NCAA’s.


2010-11: Selected as a 2011 CSCAA Division I Scholar All-America Award Winner…In her NCAA debut, picked up her first four All-America honors, including both the 100 (100.16) and 200 breast (2:10.19) as well as both the 200 (1:38.95) and 400 MR (3:35.61)…Broke the school record in the 100 breast with a time of 1:00.10 during the preliminary round at  NCAA’s…Her personal best time in the 200 breast (2:10.19) at NCAA’s marked the fastest time in the event by a UF swimmer since the previous record was set in 2003 by Vipa Bernhardt…Named to the SEC All-Freshman Team in the 100 breast following her fifth place finish in the event at the conference championships… Teamed up with fellow swimmers Sarah Bateman, Alana Pazevic and Ellese Zalewski in the 200 MR to record a UF season-best NCAA provisional mark of 1:37.40 at the SEC Championships …Picked up her first collegiate honor when selected as the SEC Female Freshman of the Week for Feb. 1 following her then career-best times in both the 100 (1:01.29) and 200 breast (2:13.64)…Tallied 11 victories throughout her freshman campaign with four individual and two relay titles…Against Tennessee, set three NCAA qualifying times with a sweep of the breaststroke events and a win as a member of the Gator 200 MR…Made her Gator debut with two victories against Georgia Tech in both the 200 MR and 100 breast…Helped lead head coach Gregg Troy to his 11th consecutive top-10 finish at NCAA’s.


High School: Graduated from Flensborg, where she trained with Sundfelag Hafnarfjardar under head coach Klaus J. Ohk…Was elected the Female Swimmer of the Year for 2010 in Iceland…Named the Female Sportsman of the Year in 2010 in her hometown of Hafnarfjordur…Finished top 10 in 2010 Sportsman of the Year voting for her home country of Iceland… Earned Female Swimmer of the Meet honors at 2009 and 2010 Icelandic Championships…Elected her club team’s Female Swimmer of the Year for 2009 and 2010.


Personal: Was born Hrafnhildur Lúthersdóttir on Aug. 2, 1991, 1992, to parents Luther Sigurdsson and Ingibjorg Ragnarsdottir…Has one sibling, Audunn Luthersson (17)… Also considered Stanford and Cal in the recruiting process… Chose Florida because of the program, academics and sunny weather…Future ambitions include making good grades and competing at the Olympics…Enjoys hanging out with friends, shopping, traveling, television and movies in her spare time…Majoring in criminology.
