U.S. Nationals, finishing 31st in the 800 free (8:53.05) and 65th
in the 400 free (4:20.63).
At Florida
2011-12: Swam exhibition at the 2012 SEC
Championships, finishing the 200 free in 1:51.51, the 500 free in a career-low
4:47.02 and the 1,650 free in a personal-best 16:21.67…Finished fifth in the
1,000 free (10:05.12) against Tennessee…Took fourth in both the 400m and 800m
free toughing in 8:58.28 and 4:29.32, respectively, in the win over
Auburn…Finished second in the 1,000 free against FAU, touching in 10:04.36…Stopped
the clock at 16:45.49 at the Georgia Tech Invitational to finish sixth in the
field…In Florida’s double-dual victory over Michigan and Stanford, finished
third in the 1,000y free (10:05.25) and fifth in the 400m free
(4:26.52)…Against rival FSU clinched a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 500
free (4:58.70) and 1,000 free (10:02.61)…Swam a 9:00.54 800m free against
Georgia to finish fourth overall…Touched in 10:02.74 1,000 free against LSU to
open SEC Competition with a second-place finish.
2010-11: Selected as a 2011 CSCAA Division I
Scholar All-America Honorable Mention…A 2011 SEC Academic Honor Roll
selection…Won two 500 free titles on the year against Florida Atlantic
(4:53.77) and at the Big Al Open (4:47.53)…Also swam an NCAA “B” cut 16:25.77
in the 1,650 free at the Big Al Open for second in the event…Took home second
in both the 500 and 1,000 free in the win over Georgia Tech touching in 4:55.45
and 10:05.31, respectively…Finished second in the 1,650 free (16:46.78) and
third in the 500 free (4:51.21) at the Georgia Last Chance meet…Took second in
the 200 free (1:53.10) in the win over Indian River State College..Clocked in a
9:58.57 NCAA “B” cut in the 1,000 free against Tennessee to take third in the
event…Finished eighth out of 35 swimmers in the women’s 1,650 free, putting in
a 16:51.02 swim at the Georgia Invitational…Made her 2011 debut at the 2011
All-Florida Invitational, swimming the 1650 free in 17:03.10 to take third.
2009-10: Placed fourth in the 200 free (1:55.75)
in the victory vs. Florida Atlantic…Finished second in the 1,000 free
(10:09.43) in the win over Indian River State College…Took seventh in the 1,000
free (10:07.41) in the rivalry victory against Florida State…Finished seventh
in the 500 free (5:02.54) in the double-dual meet vs. Michigan and
Stanford…Finished fourth in the 1,650 free (17:10.24) in the meet against
Arkansas and Kansas.
Prior to Florida: Graduated from Newsome
High in 2009…Was on the Honor Roll and member of National Honor Society…Named
two-time All-American and two-time All-County first team…A three-time high
school MVP…State qualifier four consecutive years…Finished third at state
senior year in the 500-yard freestyle…Was a team captain her senior year.
