2008-09: Named to the 2009 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll for her work in the classroom her freshman season…Had a stellar meet at the 2009 Princeton Big Al Invitational, securing season and career-best marks in the 100, 200 & 500-yard freestyle races…Placed fifth in the mile (16:58.58) and took ninth in championship finals of the 500 free (4:53.23), 11th in the field in the 200-yard free (1:51.59) and 13th in the 100 free (53.31) at the Princeton Invite…Swam the second leg of UF’s fifth-place 800 free relay (7:31.31) in Princeton…Recorded season-bests in the 1,000-yard free (10:21.29) and 200 fly (2:17.60) against Indian River State College and Florida Gulf Coast University with third and sixth-place finishes, respectively…Clocked a career-best mile in Orlando at the 2009 Florida Swimming Senior Championships (16:49.97) to end the season’s competition…Competed in a total of eight meets for UF her freshman campaign, highlighted by third-place finishes in the 500 & 1000-yard free races on the road at LSU and a fourth-place finish in the 500 free in the win over Florida State in Tallahassee.
