Competed at the 2009 U.S. World Trials in Indianapolis, Ind., finishing 20th (25.71) in the 50-meter free and 44th (57.28) in the 100-meter freestyle Earned a silver medal with a career-best 50-meter free (25.34) and placed 35th in the 100-meter free (57.29) at the 2008 U.S. Open in Minneapolis, Minn.
