National/International Competition: Won the 50 free (24.23) at the 2004 Florida Swimming Spring Senior Championships … Also finished third in the 100 breast (1:06.23) and 200 breast (2:20.27), fourth in the 200 IM (2:08.57), and fifth in the 100 fly (59.50) … Competed at the 2003 Spring Nationals in the 50-meter free, 100- and 200-meter breast and the 100-meter fly … Finished 24th in the 100-meter breast (1:15.26), 31st in the 200-meter breast (2:44.36), 38th in the 100-meter fly (1:05.27) and 44th in the 50-meter free at the 2002 U.S. Open.

2002-03: Earned All-SEC honors in the 100 and 200 breast after finishing 10th and sixth at the SEC Championships with times of 1:03.81 and 2:15.99, respectively, and also finished 17th in the 100 fly (56.20) … Swam a collegiate best time of 1:03.53 in the 100 breast at the Georgia Bulldog Invite … Finished second in the 100 breast (1:05.00) vs. Florida Atlantic (2/8) … Touched the wall in 2:20.00 to win the 200 breast, and finished runner-up in the 100 breast in 1:04.28 against Michigan (10/24) … Claimed second in the 100 free with a time of 52.67 vs. Indian River C.C. (10/18) … Won the 50 free (24.12) vs. LSU (10/11) in her first collegiate meet.
High School: A 2002 graduate of William Byrd High School in Roanoke, Va., after transferring from North Stanly High School in N.C. … Was not eligible to swim at William Byrd because of the transfer … Swam on the first team in Stanly County, N.C. (North Stanly) for coach Karen Smith … Earned Most Valuable Player honors all three years and Conference Swimmer of the Year honors twice at North Stanly … Won the 200 free (1:55.51) and 100 breast (1:07.45) at the 2001 North Carolina State Meet … Posted a first and second place finish in the 100 breast and 200 IM at the 2002 state meet … Runner-up in the 100 breast (1:09.03) and 200 IM (2:12.88) at the state meet during her freshman season.
