National/International Competition: Was the second leg of the 400 medley relay that took eighth-place (4:17.77) at the 1998 U.S. Open...finished 24th in the 200 breast, and saw action in the preliminary races of the 100 back, 100 breast and 200 IM...also saw preliminary action in several events at the 1999 USS Nationals...placed 12th in the 100-meter breaststroke and 15th in the 200 breast at the Senior National meet in February of 1996...two-time Junior National Champion, winning the 50-yard free in 1996 and 200 breast in March of 1994...captured third in the 200 individual medley at the 1997 Winter Junior Nationals...placed 13th in the 100 free and 14th in the 200 back at 1996 Junior Nationals... Named to the All-Academic Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America...touched in 10th in the 100 breast in a season-best time of 1:04.25 at the SEC Championships, finishing 13th in the 200 IM (2:04.00) in a career-best time...helped the 200 and 400 medley relay teams place third at SECs...won the 200 breast against Texas ...the win was one of three top-five finishes she recorded at that meet...recorded two top-10 finishes versus Georgia... 1997-98: Earned three honorable mention All-America awards, placing 14th in the 200 breast (2:16.00), as well as swimming on the 15th-place 200 medley relay and 16th-place 400 free relay...also swam on the 17th-place 200 medley relay and finished 31st in the prelims of the 100 breast (1:04.89) at NCAAs...led the team with 71.5 points (including relays), reaching the finals in all three of her individual events at the SEC Championship meet...claimed third in the 200 breast (2:13.71) and fifth in the 100 breast (1:02.90) -- both in personal-best times, while also taking seventh in the 50 free (23.67)...swam on the third-place 200 medley relay, fourth-place 400 free and 400 medley relays, and fifth-place 200 free relay at SECs... High School: Valedictorian of Tigard High School class of 1997...three-time state champion and state record holder in the 100-yard breast, while taking second in the 100 breast as a freshman...also placed second in the 100 back in 1997...helped high school team to the 1997 league championship title...four-year high school MVP and five-year team captain of Tigard Aquatic Club...1997 All-American and scholastic All-American...also played water polo, earning first-team state all-tournament honors and second-team all-state honors...swam for Tigard High School under Mike Branam and Tigard Aquatic Club under Andy Carlisle...
