National/International Competition: Four-time Senior National Qualifier in 1998 and 99...finished fifth in the 100 butterfly at the 1998 spring junior nationals...had a sixth place finish in the 100 freestyle at the 1999 spring junior nationals...swam for Bethel Park Recreation team under Coach William Kennedy...holds open division records in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard freestyle...was named the Allegheny Mountain outstanding swimmer in 1998 and 1999...High School: A 1999 graduate of Bethel Park HS...a six-time All-American...school record-holder in the 100 fly, 100 free, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay...1999 Pennsylvania state champion in the 100y fly and 100y free...also a member of the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay teams...team was ranked 1st in the nation in 1999 in its division...200 medley relay team was ranked 3rd in the nation in 1999 while the 400 freestyle relay team was ranked 10th...team was state champions in 1998 and 1999...swam on the state champion 200 medley relay team in 1998 and was state champion in the 100y fly in 96...also a scholastic All-American...Salutatorian of her class of 397...Personal: Born Jeneva Maile Fraas on March 20, 1981 in Kealakekua, Hawaii...daughter of Randy Fraas and Krystine Smith...enjoys mountain biking...majoring in exercise physiology.
