National/International Competition:

1996 Senior National qualifier, recording a personal-best time of 2:04.60 in the bonus final of the 200-meter free for 19th-place overall...placed fifth in the 200y free (1:50.21) at the 1996 Junior Nationals...two-time Junior National Champion, winning the 400- and 800-yard free in 1992... 1992 Junior National team member...competed at 1993 U.S. Olympic Festival.

SEC Championships:

1998 - Took sixth in the 200 free (1:50.49), while posting a personal-best time of 1:50.24 as lead off of the third-place 800 free relay...also placed 17th in the prelims of the 100 free (52.41).

1996-97 Season: Diagnosed with mononucleosis in mid-January, missing the remainder of the season.

High School:

A 1996 graduate of Mountain Brook HS...graduated from high school a year early...All-American in the 200-yard free...swam in North Carolina as a freshman, did not swim competitively as a sophomore, and then swam in Alabama as a junior...set numerous state records in North Carolina and set Alabama state record in 100 back...received Ultra Swimmer Award...set three national age group records...competed for Birmingham Swim League under Tom Johnson.
