National/International Competition:

Competed in three events at the 2014 Phillips 66 National Championships in Irvine, Calif. and captured one personal-best time… Participated in the 2013 U.S. National Championships, where he placed sixth in the 400 IM, 12th in the 200 back (2:00.60) and competed in the 400 IM (4:18.59) and 200 IM… 2012 Olympic Trials qualifier, where he set personal bests in the 200 fly, 200 IM and 400 IM… Competed at the 2010 U.S. Junior Nationals in Irvine, Calif., where Omana finished second in the 800 free, 1,500 free and the 400 IM… In addition, he finished ninth in the 200 IM… Two-time World Championship Trials qualifier (2009, 2010)… Holds the current 17-18 year old Junior National Meet Record in the 400-yard IM (3:47.60)… Entered Florida ranked No. 54 in the world in the 400 IM and No. 87 in the 1,500 free… Holds seven Florida Gold Coast short course yard records… Six-time Southern Zone champion… Ranked in the National Top 10 IMX the last eight years prior to attending Florida.

At Florida:


NCAA Championships: Earned honorable mention All-American honors as he placed 12th in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 3:43.45… SEC Championships: Placed third in the 400-yard individual medley with a career-best time of 3:40.35… Also finished 13th and 14th in the 1,650-yard (15:14.06) and 500-yard (4:20.68) freestyle races… Clocked career-best times in the 200-yard freestyle (1:39.34) and butterfly (1:48.52) events at Florida’s Last Chance Meet… Finished runner-up in the 1,000-yard freestyle in the Gators dual meet at Auburn with a time of 9:15.79… Participated in two events in a dual meet at Kentucky and won the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 9:11.59… Finished second in both the 400-yard IM (3:57.94) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:48.25) at the Pinch A Penny All Florida Invitational… Honors: One-time All-American… Second Team All-SEC.



NCAA Championships: Placed 25th in the 200-yard backstroke (1:42.65), 36th in the 400-yard individual medley (3:49.69) and 37th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:20.58)… SEC Championships: Placed seventh in both the 200-yard backstroke (1:43.71) and the 400-yard individual medley (3:45.95)… In addition, finished 11th in the 500-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 4:19.91… Named SEC Male Swimmer of the Week for the first time in his career for his performance versus Florida State where he registered wins in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:08.26) and the 400-yard individual medley (3:54.69)… Won five individual events during dual and invitational competition… Honors: SEC Male Swimmer of the Week.



NCAA Championships: Placed 17th in the 400-yard individual medley (3:44.04), 36th in the 1,650-yard freestyle (15:28.68) and 51st in the 500-yard freestyle (4:26.51)… SEC Championships: Recorded several top-eight finishes, including a fourth-place finish in the 400-yard individual medley (3:44.04), fifth place in the 1650-yard freestyle (14:55.53) and seventh place in the 500-yard freestyle (4:18.66)… Won the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 1:47.42 at the All-Florida Invitational… Recorded several top-5 finishes during dual meets throughout the season.



NCAA Championships: Competed in three events in his first NCAA Championship appearance, as he recorded times in the 500-yard freestyle (4:29.71), 400-yard individual medley (3:51.54) and the 1650-yard freestyle (15:28.76)… SEC Championships: Named to the SEC All-Freshman Team after an eighth-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (4:21.82), 10th place mark in the 400-yard individual medley (3:50.71) and a 12th place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 15:33.85… Named the SEC Male Freshman of the week for his outstanding performance against Auburn, where he won both the 800-meter freestyle (8:22.22) and the 400-meter freestyle (4:03.68)… Made his Orange and Blue debut at the All-Florida Invitational, where he also won his first collegiate race, the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 4:24.43... Honors: SEC All-Freshman Team… SEC Male Freshman Swimmer of the Week.


Prior to Florida:

Rated a five-star recruit by Swimming World Magazine and was ranked the No. 15 men’s swimming recruit in the country by… Six-time individual state champion and five-time relay state champion… Led Belen Jesuit to five consecutive state championships after joining the varsity team as an eighth grader… Won the state championship in the 200 IM, 500 free and the 400 free relay his junior season… Two-year team captain for the Belen Wolverines… Holds six school records (200 medley relay, 200 IM, 500 free, 200 free relay, 400 free and 100 back)… Belen Jesuit Athlete of the Year in 2011… The most decorated athlete in Belen Jesuit Prep school history… Named The Miami Herald Swimmer of the Year for 2010… Four-time All-Miami Dade County Swim Team selection…Won the La Copa Dorada Golden Cup Award in 2010….Selected Mr. Swimmer 2010 by the Florida Dairy Farmers Award… Chose Florida over Auburn and Ohio State.
