National/International Competition: Recorded three career marks at the 2011 ConocoPhillips National Championships in Palo Alto, Calif.,…Finished 75th in the 50 free (23.24), 34th in the 100 free (49.94) and 162nd in the 200 free (1:53.83) in his first National’s appearance.

 

At Florida

2011-12: Earned a co team-high six All-America honors at the 2012 Swimming and Diving Championships…Swam as a member of all but one of the relay teams at the NCAA meet, the 800 free relay, leading all of them to appearances in the championship or consolation finals…Swam the fastest 50 free in Florida swimming and diving history when he touched in 19.25 during the SEC Championship preliminary heat…2012 50 free SEC Champion, winning the race in 19.29, an NCAA automatic qualifying time and earning All-SEC Honors, while also finishing fifth in the 100 free (43.38) and seventh in the 100 fly in 47.53, a personal-best time…Fundamental part of both the free and medley relay squads, contributing to seven winning relay teams…Swept the top-spot in both the 50 and 100 free against Tennessee, touching in 19.57 and 44.48, respectively…Finished tied for first in the 50 free at the Classic @ SMU, touching in 20.36 and added a fourth-place time of 44.28 in the 100 free…Claimed the 50 free top-spot in three consecutive meets: first against LSU (20.73), second against Georgia (LCM) in 24.07 and third against FSU (20.32)…Also won the 100 free against rival FSU, touching in 45.38 for a sweep of both sprint events, and took the runner-up spot in the 100m free against Georgia (53.60)…At the Georgia-Tech Invitational, collected two top-five finishes with a third-place effort in the 50 free (20.18) and fourth-place time in the 100 free (44.92)…Opened the season with a win in the 100 free (45.03) at the All-Florida Invitational…Helped lead head coach Gregg Troy to his 12th consecutive top-10 finish at NCAA’s.

 

2010-11: Selected as a 2011 CSCAA Division I Scholar All-America Award Winner…Qualified for the NCAA Championships as a freshman, taking home honorable mention All-America nods in the 200 and 400 free relay…Swam the fastest time ever by a UF freshman in the 50 free (19.63), which tied for the fastest mark of the season by a UF swimmer (Brett Fraser)…Finished third in the 50 free and sixth in the 100 free at the SEC Championships clocking in at 19.64 and 43.26, respectively…Was also a member of the second place 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams at the conference championships, finishing with four All-SEC honors and earning a spot on the All-SEC Freshman squad…Captured a pair of individual victories in the 50 free (20.57) and 100 fly (49.85) and swam the first leg of the 200 freestyle relay that finished first against Florida Atlantic…Won the 100 free crown against Georgia Tech, touching in 45.87…Collected four top-three finishes at the Big Al Open with a second in both the 50 (20.69) and 100 free (44.82) as well as a member of the 200 FR team and a third in the 100 back (51.30)…Made his NCAA swimming debut at the All-Florida Invitational, swimming as a member of both the 200 and 400 FR teams that each finished third…Finished in the top-three 13 times as a contributing member of relay squads…Helped lead head coach Gregg Troy to his 11th consecutive top-10 finish at NCAA’s.

 

Prior to Florida: Graduated from Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, Fla.,…Trained with Patriot Aquatics under head coach Clay Parnell…Four-time high school All-American…Named to the All-County Swim Team his last three years, and earned All-Conference first team honors as well…Won the state title in the 200 free his senior season…Won a silver medal in the 100 free as a senior…2009 Seminole County Swimmer of the Year…Broke three high-school records his senior year…The Orlando Sentinel Varsity Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 19, 2009…Named to the Pinch a Penny Honor Roll his last three years…Lake Brantley’s most valuable swimmer his sophomore through senior seasons, while being the varsity swim team captain his junior and senior years…Qualified for the state meet all four years…A National AP Scholar his senior year.
