National/International Competition: Named to the 2011 FINA World Championship Team for Netherland Antilles…Recorded personal best times at the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai, China, in the 50 (28.21) and 100 breast (1:04.50), finishing 67th and 136th, respectively…Finished 23rd in the 100 breast at the 2011 Pan American Games swimming for Netherland Antilles in Guadalajara, Mexico…Swam at the 2009 FINA World Championships in Rome, Italy, during summer 2009…Placed 69th in the 50-meter breaststroke (29.04), 90th in the 50 free (23.79) and 126th in the 100-meter free (53.00) at Worlds…Represented Netherlands Antilles in Beijing at the 2008 Olympic Games, making the cut in the 50-meter freestyle…Curacao, Netherlands Antilles 2006 and 2005 National Spokesman…A two-time Central and Caribbean age group record holder…Holds one National Record for Netherlands Antilles…Best Student-Athlete of the Year, 2005 and 2006 (Radulphus College, Curacao)…2008 IOC Olympic Scholarship recipient.


At Florida

2012-13: Swam the 50 free (24.79) and 100 breast (55.31) at the 2013 Bulldog Last Chance Invite…Swam as part of the fifth place 200 medley relay and posted times of 58.51 in the 100 breast and 48.43 in the 100 free in exhibition on Senior Night against Tennessee…Member of the first place 200 medley relay and finished third in a time of 59.22 in the 100 breast against Florida Atlantic.


2011-12: Named to the 2011-12 SEC Honor Roll…Touched seventh in the 100m breast with a 1:12.32 swim in the win over Auburn…Against FAU, finished the 50 free in 21.45 and 100 fly in 51.96 for third and fourth, respectively…Opened the season with a fourth-place swim in the 100 breast (57.79)…Missed most of the season due to injury.


2010-11: Named to the 2011 SEC Honor Roll…Earned All-America honors as a member of the 200 medley relay team that finished sixth at the 2011 NCAA Championships…Captured the 100 breast title four times throughout the season, versus Georgia, Georgia Tech, Indian River State College and at the UGA Last Chance Meet…Swam the fastest 100 breast by a Florida swimmer at the Bulldog Invitational with a personal-best 54.17 to finish sixth in the pool…Member of the 200 medley relay team that continually finished in the top-three on the year, with third-place finishes against Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia Tech and at the Georgia Tech Invitational, a second-place mark versus Virginia and a first-place finish at the All-Florida Invitational and Georgia Tech Invite…Finished second in the 100 free against Georgia Tech Helped lead head coach Gregg Troy to his 11th consecutive top-10 finish at NCAA’s.


2009-10: Swam career-best times in the 50 free (20:53) and 200 breast (2:07.90) at the 2010 Florida Swimming Senior Championships…Placed third in the 100 breast (55.73) against Auburn…Part of the winning 200 medley relay squad (1:31.37) against FAU…Won the 100 breast (57.12) against Indian River State College...Took third in the 100 breast (55.98) against Florida State...Finish sixth in the 50 free (21.19) and eighth in the 100 breast (1:00.71) at the South Carolina Invitational, while being part of the eighth place 200 (1:34.89) and 400 medley relay (3:27.26) teams and 10th-place  400 free relay (3:08.22) squad…Part of the winning 400 medley relay (3:17.58) team against Georgia...Finished second in the 100 breast (57.48) against Georgia Tech.


2008-09: Named to the 2009 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll…A redshirt candidate…Did not participate in any UF duals…Swam four events at the 2009 Florida Swimming Senior Championships, clocking season-best times in the 50 free (20.89), 100 free (46.16), 100 breast (59.35) and 200 IM (1:58.74).


Prior to Florida: High school coach at the Bolles School was Sergio Lopez.


Personal: Born Rodion Rosko Davelaar on August 6, 1990, in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles…Son of  Rigoberto and Lydia Davelaar…Has one sister, Lorna (16)…Chose UF because of its committed team atmosphere and the great program…Also considered South Carolina and Arizona…Enjoys the beach, music and watching sports…Majoring in engineering.
