International/National: Youth Olympic Gold Medalist in the 50 backstroke in 2010 …




Registered his first career All-American honor as part of Florida’s fifth place 200 medley relay (1:24.82) team at NCAAs … Led off UF’s SEC Champion and school record 200 medley relay (1:24.53) … Won the consolation final of the 100 butterfly in a personal best time of 46.80 at the SEC Championships … Placed 11th overall in the 100 backstroke after notching a mark of 47.07 … Set his 100 back personal best, 46.84, in prelims of SECs … Earned four individual wins and had a hand in two first-place relay events during dual and invitational season … Finished second in the 100 back (47.23) at the Bulldog Last Chance Meet … Time trialed a 100 fly time of 47.64 at the Last Chance Meet … Competed at NCAAs as UF’s relay alternate … 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll Selection.


2012-13: At the 2013 SEC Championships, set personal-bests in all three events with a 10th place finish in the 100 back (47.69), 18th place finish in the 100 fly (47.62) and 28th in the 50 free (20.47)


2011-12: Named to the 2012 SEC All-Freshman Team following his ninth-place swim in the 100 fly and 15th-place effort in the 100 back…Swam the both fastest 50 free and 100 fly on the year by a Gator freshman with a 20.58 and 47.79 effort, respectively, at the 2012 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships. Also added a personal-best performance in the 100 free (45.76) at the conference meet…Against Auburn, claimed an individual fifth-place finish in the 100m back (1:00.33) and contributed to the second-place 200 medley relay team to help lift the Gators over the Tigers…Went three-four in the 100 fly (49.24) and 100 back (50.27) respectively, against Tennessee…Made his Orange and Blue debut against FAU, where he claimed the top spot in the 100 back (51.58) and finished second in the 100 fly (51.59).


PRIOR TO FLORIDA: Won the gold medal in the men’s 50m backstroke at the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympics to get Trinidad and Tobago it’s first gold medal at an Olympic event since Montreal (1976)…Set a national record in the 50-meter backstroke (26.36)…Named the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee’s Junior Sportsman of the Year and Youth Achiever of the Year by the Trinidad Guardian Sports Desk Awards…Selected as the 2010 First Citizens Sports Foundation Junior Sportsman of the Year…A Caribbean Island Swimming Champion and Carribean Age-Group Swimming champion…Selected to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India…Nominated by ASATT as Swimmer of the Year in his age group…Swam under Edmund Pouchet with the Stingray Swim Club.
