At Florida

2011-12: Earned the first All-America honors of his career after anchoring both the 200 free relay team that finished seventh, and the 400 free relay team that finished 13th at the 2012 NCAA meet…Individually, finished 31st in the 100 back (48.67), 32nd in the 100 free (43.76) and 42nd in the 200 IM (1:47.73) in his NCAA Championship debut…Named to the SEC All-Freshman team after finishing sixth in the 200 IM (1:45.77), seventh in the 100 back (48.36), and added a consolation final appearance in the 100 free, finishing 16th in 44.24…On the year, swam the fastest 100 free (44.24) and 100 back (48.36) by a UF freshman…Instrumental part of the 2011-12 Florida relays, swimming on four winning medley relay teams and three winning freestyle relay teams, while also appearing on the silver-winning 200 free relay squad at the SEC Championships…Finished second and third against Tennessee in the 100 back (50.01) and 200 IM (1:51.20), respectively…Touched in 59.58 for third in the 100m back in UF’s win over Auburn…Had two top-10 finishes at the Classic @ SMU, taking third in the 100 back (49.51) and 10th in the 50 free (20.84)…Won the first race of his NCAA career when he touched in 50.66 to claim the 100 back title against FSU, and added a fourth-place effort in the 100 free, touching in 45.98…Finished the 200 IM in 1:54.07 for second in the first SEC meet of his freshman season against LSU…Debuted at the All-Florida Invitational with a third-place touch in the 100 back (52.74) and sixth-place mark of 21.11 in the 50 free…Helped lead head coach Gregg Troy to his 12th consecutive top-10 finish at NCAA’s.

Attended Hagerty High School…Trained with the Blue Dolphins Swim Team under head coach Charlie Rose…A four-star recruit by Swimming World Magazine… A two-time high school All-American and two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American…Attended the USA Swimming National Select Camp his junior season…Captured the state championship in the 200 IM, 100 back and 400 free relay at the 2010 state meet…Won Hagerty High School’s first Class 3A State Championship as a sophomore in the 100 back.
