Competed in four events at the 2014 Phillips 66 Nationals Championships and set two personal-best times in the 50 and 100-meter backstroke races… Participated in the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in the 100m back and 200m individual medley, where he set personal best times in both races in Omaha, Neb.
NCAA Championships: Earned a pair of All-America honors, as he was a part of UF’s fifth-place and school-record 200-yard freestyle relay (1:16.52) and as he was the anchor for UF’s seventh-place 400-yard freestyle relay team (2:52.12)… Individually, Curby placed 32nd in the 200-yard individual medley (1:45.27) and 33rd in the 200-yard freestyle (1:35.95)… SEC Championships: Captured second team All-SEC honors with his third-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:16.88)… Individually, Curby placed 15th in the 100-yard freestyle (42.66), 19th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:35.98) and he won the ‘C’ final of the 200-yard individual medley (1:44.64)… Won one individual event and was a part of three first-place relay teams during dual meets and invitational competition… Honors: Two-time All-American… Second Team All-SEC… 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
NCAA Championships: Earned two All-American honors, as he anchored both the 200-yard freestyle relay team and the 400-yard freestyle team to top-eight finishes each… Individually, he finished 29th in the 200-yard individual medley and 40th in the 200-yard freestyle… SEC Championships: Finished seventh in the 100-yard freestyle, ninth in the 200-yard individual medley (1:44.62) and 10th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:35.95)... Competed and had multiple victories and top-5 finishes in each dual meet that UF competed in throughout the season… Honors: Two-time All-American.
NCAA Championships: Earned his first All-America honor as he anchored the 200-yard freestyle relay team to a seventh-place finish… In addition, he was a member of the 13th-place 400-yard freestyle relay team… Individually, Curby finished 31st in the 100-yard backstroke (48.67), 32nd in the 100-yard freestyle (43.76) and 42nd in the 200-yard individual medley (1:47.73)… SEC Championships: Named to the SEC All-Freshman team after he finished sixth in the 200-yard individual medley (1:45.77) and seventh in the 100-yard backstroke (48.36)… Curby also swam on four winning medley relay teams, three winning freestyle relay teams and he appeared on the runner-up 200-yard freestyle relay team at the SEC Championships… Won the first race of his NCAA career in a dual meet against Florida State, as he clocked a time of 50.66 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke… Debuted at the All-Florida Invitational with a third-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (52.74) and sixth-place mark in the 50-yard freestyle (21.11)… Honors: All-American… SEC All-Freshman Team.
Prior to Florida:
Was rated as a four-star recruit by Swimming World Magazine… Two-time high school All-American and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American… Attended the USA Swimming National Select Camp following his junior season… Captured state championships in the 200 IM, 100 back and 400 free relay at the 2010 Florida State Meet… Won Hagerty High School’s first Class 3A State Championship as a sophomore in the 100 back… Trained with the Blue Dolphins Swim Team under head coach Charlie Rose.
