National/International Competition: A 2012 USA Olympic Team Trials participant in the 200 back, 200 free, 200 IM, 400 IM and 1500 free…Swam to 13th in the 200 IM (2:03.61) at the 2013 US National Championships … A member of the U.S. National Youth Team since 2009 in the 200 and 400 IM and 400 free…Competed at the 2011 ConocoPhillips National Championships in Palo Alto, Calif., where he finished 52nd in the 1,500 free, 80th in the 200 back, and recorded personal bests in both the 200 (2:03.18) and 400 IM (4:20.90), finishing 30th and 13th, respectively…Finished 7th in the 10k Open Water swim in Shenzhen, China as a member of the 2011 World University Games team…Competed at the National Youth Team Mare Nostrum 2010 Meet in Barcelona, Spain, in June 2010… Swam on the National Youth World Cup Team in November 2009 at the Stockholm & Berlin World Cup Meets…Invited to the prestigious National Open Water Select Came in June 2009 in Ft. Myers, Fla., as well as the National Select Camp in January 2009 at the Olympic training center in Colorado Springs, Colo.,... Teamed up with Brad deBorde as one of two team captains for 2013-14 … Combined with Dan Wallace, Sebastien Rousseau and Matt Elliott to form the top 400 individual medley training group in the country … Bronze medalist in the 400 IM (3:43.34) at the SEC Championships, representing his third career podium finish at the nation’s top conference championships … Fifth place finisher in the 200 back (1:43.06) after a prelim time of 1:42.96 at SECs … Took 10th overall at SECs in the 200 fly in a swim of 1:44.08 … Finished 11th at the NCAA Championships in the 400 IM with a swim of 3:43.41, clinching a 1-2-3 finish for the Gators in the consolation final … Notched top-32 swims at the NCAA meet in the 200 butterfly (1:45.41) and 200 backstroke (1:43.03) … Collected and individual win versus Alabama in the 200 back (1:47.72) … 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll Selection

 

2012-13: Earned an All-American honor after finishing 12th in the 400 IM, also swam a personal-best time of 1:42.64 in the 200 back to finish 24th at the 2013 NCAA Championships…Finished fifth in the 400 IM touching the wall in a personal-best time of 3:42.64 in prelims and took seventh in the 200 back (1:43.12) at the 2013 SEC Championships...Finished second in the 200 fly clocking a personal-best 1:48.06 and was fourth in the 200 IM with a  time of 1:50.18 against Tennessee...Took fourth in the 500 free (4:31.65) and fifth in the 200 free (1:39.60) in the win at Auburn...Tallied a third place finish to be the top Gator finisher in the 200 back (1:45.05), seventh in the 400 IM (3:47.21), eighth in the 100 back (49.53) and ninth in the 200 IM (1:48.68) at the SMU Classic...Recorded a third place finish in the 400 IM (3:45.60) and 500 free (4:21.68), fourth in the 200 back (1:44.36) and 10th in the 200 fly (1:49.02) at the Ohio State Invitational...Won the 500 free posting a time of 4:28.73 and finished third in the 200 free in 1:41.08 against in-state rival Florida State...Finished first in the 200 back after stopping the clock in a time of 1:48.70 against Texas A&M...Had third place finishes in the 1,000 free (9:19.59) and 500 free (4:35.63) at South Carolina...Took third in the 200 back (1:48.41), fourth in the 200 fly (1:49.99) and fifth in the 200 IM (1:51.42) against Georgia...Came in second in the 100 back (50.19), recorded four third place finishes in the 500 free (4:28.70), 400 IM (3:53.75), 200 back (1:47.94) and 200 fly (1:50.25) and took fourth in the 200 IM (1:50.54) at the All-Florida Invitational.

 

2011-12: Named to the 2012 SEC Academic Honor Roll…Picked up one All-America honor at the 2012 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships as a member of the 800 free relay…Individually, finished 17th in the 400 IM (3:49.13) and 27th in the 500 free (4:20.40) at the NCAA meet…Took third in the 400 IM (3:48.93), fourth in the 500 free (4:20.59) as well as a ninth-place swim in the 1,650 free (15:16.38) at the SEC Championships. Was also a part of the silver-winning 800 freestyle team that finished in 6:20.86 – the ninth fastest time in school history…Finished second in both the 200 free (1:48.14) and 200 back, in a personal-best 1:49.63 in the conference win over Tennessee…In the win over Auburn, took second in the 200m free, touching in 1:55.91 as well as fifth in the 200m back (2:09.97)…Won the 400 IM (3:27.48), finished second in the 500 free (4:23.87), fourth in the 200 back (1:48.34) and ninth in the 100 back (50.54, personal best) to take home top-10 finishes in each event swum at the Classic @ SMU...Took second in both the 500 free and 400 IM touching in 4:25.49 and 3:51.34, respectively and added a fourth-seeded swim in the 1,650 free (15:32.31) at the Georgia Tech Invitational…Claimed both the 1,000 free (9:07.74) and 200 IM (1:50.56) titles as well as a runner-up, personal-best swim in the 200 IM (1:50.93) in the win over FSU…Finished two-three in the 200m back (2:07.06) and 200m free (1:55.87), respectively, against Georgia…Touched second in both the 200 (1:40.30) and 500 free (4:29.93), and finished third in the 200 fly (1:52.22) in the SEC opener against LSU…Won the 200 back in the season opener (1:48.87) at the All-Florida Invitational and recorded career low swims in both the 200 free (1:39.89) and 200 breast (2:07.23).

 

2010-11: Two-time 2011 NCAA All-American and four–time All-SEC selection…Swam in the 400 IM (3:45.82 ) and 1,650 free (15:00.13) in his National Championship debut finishing 13th and 14th, respectively…Had three top-10 finishes and personal-best times at the 2011 SEC Championships, taking second in the 1,650 free (14:52.11), fourth in the 400 IM (3:44.09) and 6th in the 500 free (4:18.61)…Took third in both the 200 fly (1:51.30) and IM (1:50.11) against Indian River State College…Won the 1,000 free and finished third in the 500 free against Tennessee touching the wall in 9:08.84 and 4:29.64, respectively…Part of the 800 freestyle championship relay team at the SMU Classic…Finished first in the 200 back (1:50.70) and as part of the 400 freestyle relay team, and took second in the 1,000 free (9:13.90) against Georgia Tech…Finished third in the 200 back in back-to-back meets against Virginia and Georgia, touching the wall in 1:51.12 and 1:50.83, respectively…In his collegiate debut at the All-Florida Invitational, took home two meet titles winning the 400 IM in 3:57.52 and as a member of the first place 400 medley relay team, while also taking second with the 800 freestyle relay team, and individually in the 200 IM (1:52.70)…Helped lead head coach Gregg Troy to his 11th consecutive top-10 finish at NCAA’s.

 

High School: Graduated from Peddie School in Hightstown, N.J…Trained with Peddie Aquatics under head coach Greg Wriede… A NISCA All-American from 2008-10…National Age Group record holder for 15 year old boys in the 3,000-yard freestyle, while holding top-10 marks as a 15 year old in the 200 and 400 IM and 400 and 1,500 free… A New Jersey record holder for 15 to 18 year old boys in the 500, 1,000 and 1,500-yard free,  200 IM, 800 free relay and 200 and 400 medley relay…Scholastic All-American by USA Swimming in 2008 and 2010…Team captain of his high school team during the 2009-10 campaign…Named Most Outstanding Swimmer at the Eastern Interscholastic Swim Championships in 2009…Received the Matthew R. Weiner ’98 Award at Peddie’s Commencement in May 2010…Awarded the Clinton I Sprout Swimming Cup for Outstanding Ability, Loyalty and Sportsmanship in 2008, 2009 and 2010…Owns Peddie School records in the 1,000-yard free, 1,650-yard free, 200-meter free, 1,500 meter free, and 400-meter IM President of the Latin Club and member of the Gold Key and Blue Key Societies…A Special Olympics volunteer from 2007-2010.
