At Florida

2012-13: Swam a personal-best time of 49.91 in the 100 fly at the Bulldog Last Chance Invitational…Anchored the third place 400 free relay in the win over Tennessee…Had a third place finish in the 50 free against Florida Atlantic (21.51)…Finished 21st in the 50 free (21.16), 25th in the 100 fly (50.41) and 28th in the 100 free (47.36) at the Ohio State Invitational…Took sixth in the 50 free and seventh in the 100 free at Florida State…Touched the wall fifth in the 50 free (21.53) and sixth in the 100 free (47.22) against Texas A&M…Had a fourth place finish in the 100 fly (51.40) and was seventh in the 50 free (21.83) at South Carolina...Clocked a time of 21.50 to finish fifth in the 50 free and had a time of 46.93 to take seventh in the 100 free at Georgia…Scored eighth in the 100 free (46.61) and swam a personal-best 20.49 in the 50 free at the All-Florida Invitational.


2011-12: Named to the 2011-12 SEC Academic Honor Roll…Took eighth in the 50m free (25.11) to help lift UF over Auburn and help lead them to an undefeated regular-season record…Against FAU, took fourth in the 100 free (48.75) and seventh in the 50 free (22.11), and was a part of the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay team that touched first…In the win over FSU, finished seventh in the 50 free with a 21.48 effort…Touched sixth in the 50m free against Georgia with a 25.00 swim…In the SEC opener against LSU, took fourth in the 50 free (21.11)…Made his sophomore debut in the All-Florida Invitational with a fifth-place, 46.62 effort in the 100 free.


2010-11: Finished second in the 50 free in the win over Indian River State College, touching in 21.38…Part of the 200 freestyle relay that came in second against Florida Atlantic…Swam the third leg of the 400 freestyle relay squad that came in third in the win over Georgia Tech…Made his collegiate debut at the All-Florida Invitational, as a part of the 200 freestyle relay that finished third.


High School: Graduated from the International School of Kuala Lumpur in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia…Won gold medals in the 50 free and 400 free relay at the 2009 Interscholastic Association of Southeast Asian Schools Championships, while taking home a silver in the 100 fly…Set the IASAS record in 50 free, while being honored with the FINA Award for his meet-high 670 points at the meet.


Personal: Was born Levar Martin Goossen on Sept. 14, 1992, to parents Hugo and Michelle Goossen…Uncle is Florida Associate Head Coach Anthony Nesty…Coached in high school by mother Michelle…Hobbies outside of swimming include playing video games…Future ambition is to swim for the Netherlands National Team in the Olympics…Also considered Michigan, Michigan State and Purdue in the recruiting process…Chose Florida because it was a well-rounded school that balances academics and athletics…Majoring in electrical engineering.
