2011-12: Had a career meet at the 2012 Bulldog Invitational, swimming career-lows in the 200 free (1:39.07), 100 back (50.92) and 200 back (1:46.77)…Finished the season against Tennessee with a fifth- and sixth-place finish in the 100 (52.54) and 200 back (1:53.08), respectively…Against Auburn, took eighth in both the 100m- and 200m-back with times of 1:01.65 and 2:11.74, respectively…Finished third in both the 100 back (53.20) and 500 free (4:38.67) in the win over FAU…Collected two top-20 finishes at the Georgia Tech Invitational, taking 14th in the 200 back (1:50.72) and 18th in the 200 free (1:42.10)…Finished five-six against rival FSU in the 100 (52.87) and 200 back (1:52.93), respectively…In the Gators’ tie to Georgia, helped boost points with a fifth-place effort in the 100m back (1:02.17) and seventh-place finish in the 200m back (2:13.02)…Opened SEC competition against LSU, touching third in the 200 back with a 1:51.43 swim…Made his NCAA debut at the All-Florida Invitational, taking sixth in the 200 back (1:51.86).
Prior to Florida: Attended, and swam at The Bolles School under head coach Sergio Lopez…An eight-time NISCA All-American…A two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American… Helped The Bolles School win a team state championship all four years of high school, increasing their state record to 23 consecutive team state championships…Member of The Bolles’ 2010 Swimming World Magazine Boys National Championship Team…Won the Class 1A state championship in the 100 and 200 free his senior year after winning silver in the 100 back his junior year…Part of The Bolles School squad that won the 2009-10 national championship, awarded by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association…Member of the Florida 1A state-record 200 free relay squad…Named to the 2008 and 2009 All-First Coast Team…Swam on the same high school team as fellow newcomer Lauren Neidigh.
