Registered a pair of NCAA All-America honors as part of UF’s fifth place and school record 200 freestyle relay (1:16.52) and as the anchor of UF’s seventh place 400 free relay (2:52.12) … Anchored the 400 free relay’s meet best time of 2:50.96 in prelims at NCAAs … In individual competition, placed 32nd overall in the 200 individual medley (1:45.27) and 33rd overall in the 200 free in a career best matching 1:35.95 … Earned All-SEC Second Team honors with a third place performance in the 200 free relay (1:16.88) … At SECs, individually scored points in three events … Recorded a 15th place swim in the 100 free (42.66) after a prelim season low of 43.56 … Won the ‘C’ final of the 200 IM in a mark of 1:44.64, just .02 off his personal best … Came in 19th in the 200 free (1:35.98) … Touched first in the 200 IM at the Bulldog Last chance Meet in a time of 1:44.77 … Also won the 100 free in a time of 43.46 at the Last Chance Meet … Won one individual event and was a part of three first-place relay teams during dual and invitational competition … Placed second in the 100 free (44.33) at the Ohio State Invitational and anchored the first-place 200 free relay team (1:19.08) … Won the 200 IM (1:51.96) versus FAU and was a part of the first-place 200 MR (1:31.67) squad … 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll Selection.
2012-13: Added two All-American honors to his resume as he was anchored both the 200 free relay and 400 free relay to top-eight finishes…The 200 free relay took eighth combining for a time of 1:17.83 in prelims and he joined the 400 free relay to finish seventh in a time of 2:51.74…He also finished 29th in the 200 IM and 40th in the 200 free at the NCAA Championships…At the SEC Championships: Finished seventh in the 100 free and set a personal-best time of 43.36 in the prelims, finished ninth in the 200 IM also in a personal-best (1:44.62) and 10th in the 200 free with another personal-best (1:35.95)...Had a third place finish in the 50 free with a personal-best 20.71 against Tennessee...Recorded fifth place finishes in the 100 back (50.13) and 100 free (45.23) at Auburn...Won the 200 free (1:39.11) against Florida Atlantic and anchored the 200 medley relay to a win over the Owls...Finished eighth in the 100 free (44.79), 13th in the 200 IM (1:48.98), 14th in the 200 free (1:39.70) and 20th in the 100 back (50.28) at the Ohio State Invitational...Anchored the first place 400 free relay to a win against in-state rival Florida State and finished eighth in the 100 back (53.65)...Finished fifth in the 100 breast (59.90) and sixth in the 100 free (46.60) while also anchoring the first place 400 free relay against Texas A&M...Finished fourth in the 50 free (21.34) and fifth in the 100 fly (51.50) at South Carolina...Took sixth in the 100 free (46.09) and seventh in the 100 back (51.21) against Georgia...Swam as part of the first place 400 medley, 400 free and 800 free relays and was seventh in the 50 free (21.11) at the All-Florida Invitational.
2011-12: Earned the first All-America honors of his career after anchoring both the 200 free relay team that finished seventh, and the 400 free relay team that finished 13th at the 2012 NCAA meet…Individually, finished 31st in the 100 back (48.67), 32nd in the 100 free (43.76) and 42nd in the 200 IM (1:47.73) in his NCAA Championship debut…Named to the SEC All-Freshman team after finishing sixth in the 200 IM (1:45.77), seventh in the 100 back (48.36), and added a consolation final appearance in the 100 free, finishing 16th in 44.24…On the year, swam the fastest 100 free (44.24) and 100 back (48.36) by a UF freshman…Instrumental part of the 2011-12 Florida relays, swimming on four winning medley relay teams and three winning freestyle relay teams, while also appearing on the silver-winning 200 free relay squad at the SEC Championships…Finished second and third against Tennessee in the 100 back (50.01) and 200 IM (1:51.20), respectively…Touched in 59.58 for third in the 100m back in UF’s win over Auburn…Had two top-10 finishes at the Classic @ SMU, taking third in the 100 back (49.51) and 10th in the 50 free (20.84)…Won the first race of his NCAA career when he touched in 50.66 to claim the 100 back title against FSU, and added a fourth-place effort in the 100 free, touching in 45.98…Finished the 200 IM in 1:54.07 for second in the first SEC meet of his freshman season against LSU…Debuted at the All-Florida Invitational with a third-place touch in the 100 back (52.74) and sixth-place mark of 21.11 in the 50 free…Helped lead head coach Gregg Troy to his 12th consecutive top-10 finish at NCAA’s.
Prior to Florida: Attended Hagerty High School…Trained with the Blue Dolphins Swim Team under head coach Charlie Rose…A four-star recruit by Swimming World Magazine… A two-time high school All-American and two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American…Attended the USA Swimming National Select Camp his junior season…Captured the state championship in the 200 IM, 100 back and 400 free relay at the 2010 state meet…Won Hagerty High School’s first Class 3A State Championship as a sophomore in the 100 back.
