National/International Competition: Participated in the 2012 Olympic Team Trials in Omaha, Neb., recorded personal bests in the 100 and 200 fly…Collected a career-best time in the 200 fly at the 2011 ConocoPhillips National Championships in Palo Alto, Calif., when he touched the wall in 2:01.34 for 38th…Finished 68th in the 100 fly at the 2010 National Championships with a personal-best time of 55.39…At the 2009 ConocoPhillips National Championships, finished sixth in the 100 back with a career-fast mark of 58.79.

2011-12: Named to the 2012 SEC Community Service Team for his efforts with the local Gainesville community…The Gators best backstroke on the year, swimming the fastest 100 (48.09) and 200 (1:45.30) back by a Gator…Earned three All-America honors at the 2012 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with an individual swim in the 200 fly, and as a member of the 200 and 400 medley relay teams, swimming the backstroke in both races…At the 2012 SEC Championships, finished fourth in both the 100 and 200 fly, touching in 47.02 and 1:45.08, respectively, and added a fifth place-effort in the 100 back with a personal-best 48.09…Swam career-low times in the 200 back (1:45.30) and 200 fly (1:43.54) at the 2012 Bulldog Invitational, and etched his name in the Florida record books with the ninth-fastest 200 fly performance in program history…Against Tennessee, won the 200 fly (1:48.49) and finished fourth in the 200 IM (1:53.11)…In the win over Auburn, took third in both the 100m and 200m fly, touching in 56.94 and 2:06.94, respectively…Collected three top-10 finishes at the Classic @ SMU taking seventh in the 200 fly (1:47.19), eighth in the 100 fly (49.22) and 10th in the 200 back (1:48.62)…Against rival FSU, finished two-three in the 200 (1:50.44) and 100 fly (50.17)…In the LCM meet against Georgia, also finished two-three in the 200m and 100m fly, touching in 2:07.43 and 57.40, respectively…Took home a pair of second-place finishes in the 100 (50.46) and 200 fly (1:51.08) in the SEC opener against LSU…Opened the season with a runner-up swim in the 100 fly (49.76) and third-place effort in the 200 fly (1:50.63).
2010-11: Named to the Capital One Academic All-District At-Large Second Team…Chosen as a 2011 CSCAA Division I Scholar All-America award winner…Selected to the 2011 SEC Academic Honor Roll…A 2011 All-American after finishing 11th in the 200 fly, touching in 1:44.00 at the NCAA Championships…Finished 13th in the 100 fly at the SEC Championships with a 47.45 mark…With his Part of the winning 400 medley relay team against Indian River State College…Swept both back events against Florida Atlantic, finishing the 100 back in 51.53 and the 200 back in 1:51.97 and was a part of the winning 200 medley relay team…Finished second in the 200 fly (1:49.64) against Georgia Tech…Took first in the 200 fly and second in the 100 fly against LSU, finishing in 1:51.67 and 50.20, respectively…Placed third in the 100 fly versus Georgia with a 49.41 mark…Won his first individual victory of the season when he captured the 100 fly (49.77) title against Virginia…Opened the season with three second place finishes at the All-Florida Invitational in the 100 fly (49.70), 100 back (50.97) and 200 back (1:51.35)…Helped lead head coach Gregg Troy to his 11th consecutive top-10 finish at NCAA’s.
2009-10: Placed third against FAU in the 200 medley relay (1:35.54)…Finished fourth in the in the 400 medley relay (3:26.04) and sixth in the 400 free relay (3:07.34) at the Georgia Tech Invitational.
Graduated from Clearwater Central Catholic High School in 2009…Received Medal of Honor, President’s Education Award…2009 Advanced Placement Academic Achievement…Was a four time Letter of Scholarship for Academic Achievement recipient, a two time Academic All-American, a member of National Honor Society, a member of Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society)…A two time Florida State Champion in the 100 Fly and 100 Back…The 2009 St. Pete Time’s Swimmer of the Year…A five time All-American…The State Farm Athlete of the Month (November), Dairy Farmers Athlete of the Year, and a ten time record-holder for Clearwater Central Catholic…Coached in high school by Tim McCain.
