Alto, Calif., when he finished 137th in the 50 free (23.73) and 148th
in the 100 free (51.49)…Finished 15th in the 50 free at the 2007
Summer Junior Nationals … Also placed 36th in the 100 free.
At Florida
2011-12: Grabbed two
All-America honors at the 2012 NCAA Championships as a member of both the 200
and 400 free relay teams to conclude his Gator career with four total
All-America nods. Also finished 39th in the 50 free (20.01), 31st
in the 100 free (43.75) at the meet…Finished 12th in the 100 free (43.84), 21st
in the 100 fly (48.98, personal best) and was part of both the 200 and 400
freestyle relay teams at the 2012 SEC Championships – earning two All-SEC
honors in the process…Finished four-five in the 50 (20.51) and 100 free
(45.96), respectively, in the win against Tennessee…Took seventh in both the
50m and 100m free touching in 24.43 and 54.37, respectively in Florida’s win
over Auburn…Won the 50 free (21.00) and finished second in the 100 free (46.93)
against FAU…At the Georgia Tech Invitational touched the pad in 45.76 for a
ninth-place finish in the 100 free…Finished third in both the 50 and 100 free
touching in 20.85 and 45.93, respectively, against Florida State…In the meet
against Georgia took third in the 100m free (53.65) and fourth in the 50m free
(24.56).
2010-11: A two-time 2011 All-American…Finished
10th as a member of the 400 freestyle and 15th as a part
of the 200 freestyle relay team at the 2011 NCAA Championships…Swam the first
leg of the 200 freestyle relay team that finished first against Indian River
State College with a 20.46 split...Finished second in both the 50 and 100 free
against SEC opponent Tennessee in a personal-best 20.38 and season-best 44.69,
respectively…A member of both the 200 medley and freestyle relay teams that finished
first against Florida Atlantic, while also finishing third individually in the
100 free (46.36)…Finished third in both the 50 (21.36) and 100 free (46.46)
against LSU, while also swimming the final leg of the 400 medley relay team
that took third…Opened the season at the All-Florida Invitational with three
top-three relay performances – taking first as part of the 200 freestyle relay,
second as part of the 200 medley relay and third with the 400 medley relay
team…Part of the 400 freestyle relay team that had seven top-three finishes on
the year…Helped lead head coach Gregg Troy to his 11th consecutive
top-10 finish at NCAA’s.
2009-10: Finished third in the 100 free vs. FAU
(45.84)…Part of the fourth-place 200 free relay squad at the Georgia Tech Invitational
(1:21.63)...Finished seventh as part of the 200 free relay team (1:24.75) at
the south Carolina Invitational.
2008-09: Swam in a total of nine competitions
for the Gators during his freshman campaign, including duals against LSU,
Georgia, South Carolina, Florida State, Virginia, Florida Atlantic…Also
participated in the 2008 Princeton Big Al Invitational and swam at the 2009
Florida Swimming Senior Championships in Orlando, Fla., at the end of
February…Claimed the Princeton Big Al Invite title in the men’s 100-yard free
(44.44)…Also swam on the second place 200-yard free, 400-yard free and 200-yard
medley relays at the Princeton Invite…Took sixth individually in the 50 free
(20.53) and 200 free (1:40.42)…Had a career-best meet at the 2009 Florida
Swimming Senior Championships, setting season-best marks in the 50 free
(20.40), 200 free (1:38.91) and 100 fly (51.29)…Swam the 50 & 100-yard
races against LSU, Georgia and Virginia…Exhibitioned
the 50 against South Carolina and the 50 & 100 versus Florida State…Capped
off Florida’s dual meet season with a victory in the 50 free (21.24 ) against
Florida Atlantic and finished second in the 100 free (46.45) against the Owls.

Swimmer of the Year…A three-time high school All-American in 50 and 100
