National/International Competition

A member of the 2010-2011 U.S. National Team… Finished sixth at the 2010 Long Course U.S. Nationals in the 400-meter freestyle (3:51.57), fifth in the 200-meter freestyle (1:47.35), 27th in the 50-meter freestyle (23.24), fifth in the 200 IM (2:00.71), and 19th in the 100-meter freestyle (50.13)… Competed in the 100 and 200-meter freestyle at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb.

 

At Florida

2010-11: Earned five All-American honors at the 2011 NCAA Championship meet to give him 12 for his career… was a member of the NCAA Champion 800-yard freestyle relay, fourth place 400 medley relay and tenth place 400 free relay and  individually he took third in the 500 freestyle and ninth in the 400 IM…Named the SEC Male Swimmer of the Year for the second year in a row and shared the Commissioner’s Trophy for the High Point Award …Won and set the SEC record in the 400 IM (3:37.75), was a member of the SEC Champion 400-yard medley relay and 800-yard free relay that set the SEC record (6:13.74), his 200 free split in the 800 free relay was also a SEC record…Won the 1650 free against Indian River State College…Swam the breaststroke leg of the first place 200 medley relay and won the 200 free and 400 IM against Tennessee…Won the 200 IM, took second in the 100 breast, third in the 200 breast and was a member of the second place 400 free relay against Auburn…Won the 200 free, 200 IM, 800 free relay and took third in the 200 breast at the SMU Classic…Finished first four events against Georgia Tech (200 butterfly, 500 free, 400 free relay and 200  medley relay)…Captured the win in the 200 free and 500 free, finished second in the 100 free and 200 medley relay against in-state rival Florida State…Won the 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 free, 400 free relay and 800 free relay and finished second in the 100 free and 400 medley relay at the Georgia Tech Invite…Took first in the 100 breast, 200 breast, 400 medley relay and second in the 50 free at LSU…Won the 1000 free, 200 free, 500 free and 400 free relay in win over Georgia…Against Virginia, placed first in the 100 and 200 free, 200 IM and second as part of the 200 medley relay…Captured wins in the 100 fly, 100 breast, 100 free, 200 IM, 200 medley relay, 200 free relay 400 free relay and 800 free relay, took second in the 200 fly and third in the 50 free at the All Florida Invitational.

 

2009-10: Named the Division I National Men’s Swimmer of the Year and SEC Male Swimmer of the Year… Earned seven All-American honors at the 2010 NCAA Championships, including two individual titles (200 and 500-yard freestyle)... A 2010 SEC Academic Honor Roll selection... Earned seven All-SEC honors en route to three individual SEC championships (200 and 500 free, 800 free relay)… Won the 200 and 500 free events vs. Auburn… Placed second in the 200 free relay and third in the 400 medley relay at the SMU Classic… Captured the 100 free and 200 medley relay against LSU, while placing second in the 50 free… Took second in the 200 fly against Indian River State College… Captured four events in the rivalry win over Florida State (200 free, 500 free, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay)… Won the 500 free, 400 IM and 400 free relay at the Georgia Tech Invitational, while finishing second in the 200 free relay and 200 medley relay… Placed first in the 100 and 200 free, as well as the 400 free relay, vs. Georgia… Captured the 100 breast and 200 medley relay events against Georgia Tech… Won the 200 free and finished second in the 50 and 100 free and 400 free relay in the win over Virginia.

 

At Iowa

2008-09: Set school record in 100 free (43.67) at Big Ten Championships... Met NCAA B standards in 100 free (43.67), 200 free (1:35.27), 500 free (4:22.35), and as part of 200 free (1:19.59), 400 free (2:55.19) and 800 free (6:32.74) relays... The 200 free and 400 free relay times rank second, the 200 free relay ranks fourth, his 500 free time ranks seventh and the 800 free relay ranks eighth on Iowa's all-time best performers list... Placed fourth in 200 free (1:35.27), 11th in 100 free (43.82) and 12th in 500 free (4:22.35) at Big Ten Championships... Swam on 400 free relay that placed fifth (2:55.19), 800 free relay that placed seventh (6:32.74) and 200 free relay that placed eighth (1:19.59) at Big Ten Championships... Posted 23 individual wins and swam on nine winning relays... Named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week twice (10/14/08 and 1/27/09)... Letterwinner.

2007-08: Met NCAA B standards in 200 free (1:36.44) and 500 free (4:27.21), and as part of 800 free relay (6:33.95)... Led team in 100 (44.66), 200 (1:36.44) and 500 free (4:27.21), and swam on team-leading 200 (1:22.92), 400 (3:00.68) and 800 free relays (6:33.95) and 200 medley relay (1:31.44)... The 200 medley relay ranks eighth and the 800 free relay ranks 10th in school history... Placed fifth in 200 free (1:37.07) at Big Ten Championships... Recorded 10 victories and three runner-up finishes... Team MVP... Letterwinner.

 

High School

Actively involved in sports throughout high school…participated in lacrosse (one year), baseball (one year), water polo (two years) and swimming (four yers)… Placed 10th in 200 free (1:43.20) and 14th in 500 free (4:43.10) at state meet senior year... League 200 free champion (1:44.03) and runner-up in 500 free (4:45.15) senior year... All-Section and All-League senior year... Team captain and MVP senior year... Varsity water polo player, earning Third Team All-State and First Team All-Section, All-Region and All-League honors... High school coach was Dennis Stonequist

Born Conor Dwyer on January 10, 1989, to Patrick and Jeanne Dwyer…has four siblings Spencer (21), P.J. (20), Brendan (18), Pati (14)… Mother swam for Florida State… Enjoys hanging out with friends, going to Cubs games, and going to the beach in his spare time…Majoring in business.
