Finished 38th in the 200-meter free (1:52.41), 40th in the 1500-meter free (15:54.20) and 62nd in the 400-meter IM (4:32.63) at the 2010 Long Course U.S. Nationals in Irvine, Calif., while his 28th-place finish in the 400 free (3:53.93) marked the eighth-fastest in school history on the men’s side…Swam at the 2009 U.S. Nationals/World Trials in Indianapolis, Ind., in summer 2009…Finished 12thh in the field in the 400-meter free (3:53.93), 28th in the 1,500-meter free (15:50.43) and 44th in the 200-meter freestyle (1:52.96) at World Trials…Recorded career-best times in the 1,500 (15:27.01, 11th) and 200 free (1:52.18, 53rd) events and placed 13th in the 400-meter free (3:53.98) at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials … Earned a bronze medal with a career-best 800-meter free (8:05.05) at the 2008 U.S. Open … Also raced to a sixth-place 15:29.26 finish in the finals of the 1,500-meter free and finished 20th in the 200-meter free (1:53.19), while swimming a career-best 4:36.35 (42nd) 400 IM at the 2008 U.S. Open in Minneapolis … Notched an 18-and-under national championship in the 1,500-meter free … Holds the 15-16 year old Victoria, Australia, 200-meter free state record.

2010-11: Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll… Notched a personal-best 1:37.17 in the 200 free at the UGA Last Chance Meet… Took second in the 200 free (1:38.75) against Indian River State College… Registered personal bests in the 50 (20.86) and 100 free (45.57s) at Auburn, while placing third in the 500 free (4:31.32) and 400 free relay (3:02.13)… Won the 1,000 free (9:24.50) against FAU, while also recording a personal best in the 200 breast (2:12.36)… Took second in the 200 back (1:52.00) and fourth in the 50 free (21.19) in the win over Georgia Tech… Finished ninth in the 200 free (1:40.93) and won the B final of the 400 IM (4:01.42) at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational… Member of first-place 200 medley relay (1:29.57) and 400 free relay (2:59.27) in the rivalry win at Georgia… Part of the first-place 400 free relay squad (3:03.03) in the home win vs. Virginia…Took first in the 200 free (1:39.27), 200 (1:21.89), 400 (3:01.47) and 800 free relay (6:43.83) and 400 medley relay (3:23.99) at the first-ever All-Florida Invitational.

 

2009-10: Named on the 2009-10 SEC Academic Honor Roll…Took third in the 1,000 free while being part of the second-place 400 free relay squad vs. Auburn…Won the 200 free in the win over FAU…Finished second in the 1,000 free in the victory against LSU…Took third in the 200 free and 400 free relay at the Georgia Invitational, while placing sixth in the 500 free and eighth in the 100 free…Finished second second in the 1,000 free and fifth in the 500 free vs. Florida State…Placed third in the 1,650 free, sixth in the 500 free and ninth in the 200 free at the Georgia Tech Invitational…Finished second in the 500 free and 400 free relay in the season opener against Virginia.

 

2008-09: A 2009 CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All-American…Additionally named to the 2009 SEC Academic Honor Roll…Secured NCAA provisional qualifying marks in the 500 free and mile…Helped the Gators to a second-place finish at the 2009 SEC Championships…Swam in 12 duals and invitationals for the Gators his sophomore season, including the 2009 U.S. Nationals and the 2009 Florida Swimming Senior Championships in Orlando…Took eighth in the mile (15:05.19), 17th in the 500 free (4:26.42) and 19th in the 400 IM (3:55.67) at the 2009 SEC Championships…Traveled to Atlanta with the Gators for the 2009 U.S. Short Course Nationals, where he notched then season-best times in the mile (15:23.13) and 500 free (4:32.14), finishing 12th and 41st overall, respectively…Enjoyed a successful dual meet season, including a third-place finish in the mile against Georgia (15:34.56) as UF’s highest finisher…Notched a third-place finish in the dual at Auburn (4:29.68), and finished off the season with a fourth-place time in the 1,000-yard free (9:12.85), when the Gators defeated Tennessee in Gainesville.

 

2007-08: Named to the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll … Narrowly missed All-America honors with a 17th-place finish in the 1,650 free (15:08.70) at the NCAA Championships … Finished 10th in the 1,650 free (15:15.43), 12th in the 500 free (4:24.30) and 15th in the 400 IM (3:53.58) at the SEC Championships in Tuscaloosa, earning NCAA provisional cuts in the first two events … Earned an Olympic Trials and NCAA provisional-qualifying standard in the 1,500-meter free against Auburn with a winning time of 15:41.70, while also touching first in the 400-meter free (4:02.70) … Garnered SEC Male Freshman Swimmer of the Week honors for his effort against the Tigers … Placed second in the 500 free (4:34.36) in the win over Purdue … Finished third in both the 400-meter free (3:59.63) and 1,500-meter free (15:42.77) at the Alabama Invitational … Took fourth in the 1,650 free at Purdue’s Boilermaker Invitational with a mark of 15:39.11 … Won the 500 free (4:33.81) in the win at Kentucky … Made his collegiate debut in the win over Virginia with a fourth-place finish in the 200 free (1:41.84).

 

High School

Swam to a state championship in the 200 and 500-yard free events in 2006 and 2007 … Also claimed the 500-yard state championship in 2005 … Was an All-American in the 50, 100, 200 and 500 free, 100 back and 200 IM … Was the team captain and also holds every individual team record … Also competed in track and cross country.
