Represented Hungary at the 2008 Olympic Games, finishing fourth in his heat of prelims in the 100-meter back (56.25) and 19th overall on the 200 back (1.59.44) in Beijing … Brought home a 17th place finish in the 200 back (1:45.46) at the 2007 ConocoPhillips U.S. Short Course Nationals … Also placed 38th in the 200 free (1:40.45), 19th in the 100 back (49.24) … Swam at the 2007 World University Games in Bangkok, finishing 5th in the 200 back (2.00.02)… Swam to runner-up honors in the 100-meter back (57.46) and a fifth-place finish in the 400-meter IM (4:34.89) at the 2007 Eric Namesnik Memorial Grand Prix in Ann Arbor, Mich. … Also placed ninth in the 200-meter free (1:54.57), 12th in the 1,500-meter free (16:29.13), 15th in the 400-meter free (4:04.96) and 17th in the 100-meter free (53.09) … Represented Hungary at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece … A five-time Hungarian champion … 2004 European Youth Olympic Days champion in the 200-meter back … Placed fourth in the 100 back and fifth in the 200 back at the 2002 Junior European Championships … Won 15 titles at the national age group championships between 1997 and 2004.

 

At Florida

2008-09: Was a member of UF’s 2009 SEC Championship squad…Helped Florida to a second-place finish at SECs…Swam in 12 meets for the Gators his junior season at UF…Took 10th in the 200 back (1:43.23), 16th in the 500 free (4:21.09) and placed 19th in prelims of the 200 free (1:37.28) at SECs…Swam three career-best marks during the 2008-09 campaign, clocking a 48.10 in the 100-yard back at the 2009 Florida Swimming Senior Championships in Orlando…Finished fourth in the 100-yard fly (51.22) in the dual meet win against LSU in Baton Rouge, setting a career-best time…Also exhibitioned the 400 IM as the Gators defeated South Carolina in Gainesville, setting a new personal record (3:58.46)…Took to the water at U.S. Nationals for Florida in Atlanta…Took 19th overall in the 500 free (4:25.91) and finished fifth (1:45.48) in the 200 back, while swimming three relays at Short Course Nationals…Took sixth in the 200 fly and 200 IM as UF swam past Tennessee…Placed second in the 200 back and fourth in the 200 free in the road dual against Auburn…Concluded the dual meet season with a victory in the 1,000-yard free against Indian River State College.

 

2007-08:  Earned a total of four All-America honors at the NCAA Championships in Seattle … Finished third in the 200 back (1:41.49) and 11th in the 500 free (4:18.48) for his only two top individual finishes … Also helped the 800 FR team to a sixth place finish and the 400 FR team to a 12th place finish … Earned a fourth place finish in the 500 free (4:17.44) in his first individual swim at the SEC Championships in Tuscaloosa … Also placed third in the 200 back (1:43.65) to complete the Gator sweep of the event and was 11th in the 200 free … Placed second in the win over FAU in the 200 fly (1:50.58) … Touched second in the 200 back (1:45.67) for his best finish at Tennessee … Placed first in the 200 free (1:39.45) and 500 free (4:26.48) against LSU… Touched third in the 200 back (1:48.99) for his best finish against Purdue … Was first in the 200 back (1:44.19) and second in the 200 free (1:38.70) in the win versus Florida State … Picked up a first-place finish in the 200-meter back (2:03.20) for his best individual finish at Georgia … Swam to a first-place finish in the 200 back (2:03.03) and a second place finish in the 100-meter back (58.54) against Michigan … Touched first in the 200 back (1:44.17) at Minnesota … Picked up a first place finish in the 200 free (1:38.14) for his first win of the season against Virginia.

 

2006-07: Named the SEC Freshman Swimmer of the Year, marking the second-consecutive year that a Florida swimmer has garnered the award … Collected four All-America honors at the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis … Took fourth in the 200 back with a career-best time of 1:42.14, ninth in the 500 free (4:18.37) and 16th in the 200 free (1:36.38) … His time of 1:35.69 in prelims of the 200 free also marked a new career best … Anchored the 800 FR team that earned runner-up honors at the national meet (6:17.82) … Swam to runner-up finishes in the 500 free (4:17.90) and the 200 back (1:43.54) – both times NCAA automatic qualifying standards – at the SEC Championships … Earned a conference championship as part of the 800 FR squad (6:22.31) … Also finished 10th in the 200 free (1:37.62) and anchored the 400 FR team to a second-place finish (2:55.56) … Captured victories in the 100 back (49.93), and the 200 back (1:46.79), in the tri-meet sweep of Alabama and South Carolina … Won the 200 back (1:45.24) and 500 free (4:24.14) against Auburn … Earned men’s Division I National Collegiate Swimmer of the Week honors from CollegeSwimming.com, as well as SEC Men’s Swimmer of the Week accolades, for his efforts against the Tigers, Crimson Tide and Gamecocks … Took first in the 200 IM (1:51.16) against Indian River CC … Won the 200-meter back at the U.S. Open with a time of 2:02.27, while also finishing eighth in the 100-meter back (57.69) … Claimed victory in the 500 free with a career-best time of 4:25.73, and placed second in the 200 free (1:38.37) against Florida State … Earned a runner-up finish in the 200 free (1:38.52) and a third-place showing in the 500 free (4:29.48) against Texas … Turned in a solid performance against LSU, winning the 500 free (4:31.58) and taking runner-up honors in the 200 IM (1:51.31).
