2011-12: Named to the 2012 SEC Academic Honor
Roll…Finished 14th in both the 100 fly (48.43) and back (49.83), and
added a fifteenth-place finish in the 200 fly (1:50.10) at the 2012 SEC
Championships…Touched third in the 200 fly (1:49.70) against Tennessee…In the
win over Auburn, collected points for the Gators with a fifth- and sixth-place
effort in the 100 (58.32) and 200 fly (2:10.05), respectively…Against FAU,
touched second in the 200 fly with a 1:50.14 swim…At the Georgia Tech
Invitational, collected a top-10 finish, touching 10th in the 100
fly (50.19)…Finished fourth in both the 100 and 200 fly against rival FSU with
times of 50.42 and 1:52.15, respectively…Took sixth in both the 100m (58.86)
and 200m fly (2:14.82) against Georgia…Opened SEC action with a fourth-place
effort in the 100 fly (50.74) and fifth-place swim in the 200 fly (1:52.88).
2010-11: Finished third in two events against
SEC foe Tennessee – individually in the 200 fly, touching in 1:48.05 and as a
member of the 200 medley relay team, swimming the third leg in a 22.06
split…Took third in the100 fly and fourth in the 200 fly in the win over
Florida Atlantic, finishing in 51.20 and 1:52.83, respectively…Captured his
first and second individual victories of the 2010-11 season with a sweep of
both fly events at the Big Al Open. Touched first in the 100 fly with a 48.79,
and the 200 fly with a season-best 1:49.51…Swam the third leg of the 400 medley
relay team in a 50.08 split, that finished third against SEC competitor LSU and
produced a NCAA ‘B’ cut 3:24.83.
2009-10: Finished third in the 200 fly
(1:51.36) and fifth in the 200 medley relay (1:34.79) at the SMU Classic…Placed
third in the 200 fly (1:51.36) against LSU…Part of the second-place 400 medley
relay squad vs. Indian River State College (3:24.00)...Joined teammates to take
fifth in the 400 medley relay (3:26.18) and eighth in the 200 medley relay (1:35.99)
at the Georgia Invitational, while placing ninth in the 200 fly
(1:51.65)...Finished eighth at the Georgia Tech Invitational in the 100 fly
(50.00). Part of the third-place 400 medley relay squad (3:24.06) against
Georgia...Placed third in the 400 free relay team in the
season opener against Virginia.
2008-09: Recorded the fastest time on the
Gators’ squad his freshman season in the 100-yard butterfly after clocking a
47.76 in the event at the 2009 Florida Swimming Senior Championships…Set three
other season-best and UF career marks at the Orlando meet, including a best
time in the 200 free (1:41.98), 200 fly (1:45.82) and the 200 IM (1:55.48)…His
mark in the 200-yard fly was an NCAA provisional qualifying mark…Also
represented the Orange and Blue at the 2008 Princeton Big Al Invitational,
where he finished second in the 100 fly (48.45), fourth in the 200 fly
(1:47.21), seventh in the 100 free (45.88), and 13th in the 500 free
(4:29.99)…Also swam the fly leg of the 200-yard medley relay that placed second
in Princeton…His mark in the 100 & 500 freestyle events marked season
bests…Swam a total of seven meets for UF his freshman campaign…Took second in
the 100 fly and fourth in the 200 fly against South Carolina at
home…Additionally placed fourth in the 100 & 200 fly races against UF foe
FSU on the road in Tallahassee…Concluded Florida’s dual meet season by placing
fourth in the 200 fly against IRSC in Gainesville.
