2007-08: Competed in the Michigan, Kentucky and Florida State dual meets for the Gators on the 2007-08 season Also represented UF at the Boilermaker Invitational and the Alabama Invite Exhibitioned the 400 free against Michigan, finishing in 4:18.10, while also competing in the 50-meter free (25.88) Exhibitioned the 200-yard free (1:44.43) and 200-yard back (1:55.71) against Kentucky Recorded a 1:53.10 in the 100-yard back against Florida State Finished eighth in the 400-meter free at the Alabama Invite, while also taking to the water in the 400 free at the Boilermaker Invitational.
2006-07: Picked up his first career individual win in the 200 free (1:40.14), while also finishing third in the 200 back (1:52.42), against FAU Turned in fourth-place performances in the 1,000 free (9:46.84) and 200 back (1:56.75) versus Indian River CC Finished seventh in the 200 back (1:57.67) and exhibitioned the 200 free (1:44.23) against Virginia Swam the anchor leg of the 12th-place 200 FR (1:25.46) at the Texas Invitational Exhibitioned the 100 back (54.70) against Florida State.

Led St. Thomas Aquinas to three consecutive state championships from 2003-05.

Personal
Son of John and Lana Coan His brother, Matt, was a four-year letterwinner on the UF swim team His uncle, Andy, won the 100 free at the 1975 World Championships and was a five-time NCAA champion at Tennessee Chose Florida over Clemson because of the great athletic and academic environments Planning to major in building construction.
