2007-08: Set the school record in prelims of the 200 breast at the NCAA Championships in Seattle with a time of 1:55.02, and came back with a mark of 1:55.09 in finals to take fourth place … Also garnered a fourth-place finish in the 400 IM (3:43.68) after a prelims performance in which he posted a career-best time of 3:42.82 that also ranked 15th in NCAA history … Capped the national meet with All-America honors as part of the eighth-place 400 MR (3:09.77) and as a prelims member of the 11th-place 200 MR (1:27.53) … Won both the 200 breast (1:56.00) and the 400 IM (3:44.86) at the SEC Championships in Tuscaloosa (2/20-23), registering NCAA automatic cuts in both events … The victories also represented the first two league titles of his career … Also earned a provisional cut in the 100 breast with a third-place time of 53.87, while helping both the 200 (1:26.80) and 400 MR (3:10.86) finish third … Swam off-event in the win over FAU (2/9), but won the 200 back with a time of 1:50.95) … Picked up an NCAA B cut in the 200 breast with a second-place time of 2:00.24 at Tennessee (2/2) … Took first in the 200-meter breast with an NCAA provisional-qualifying time of 2:19.04, while also earning runner-up honors in the 100-meter breast (1:04.80), against Auburn (1/26) … Won the 1,000 free (9:10.53) in the home defeat of LSU (1/12)  …  Worked his way to a fifth-place finish in the 200 breast (2:00.05) and a seventh-place showing in the 400 IM (3:51.52) at the U.S. Short Course Nationals (11/29-12/1) … Collected a victory and NCAA provisional cut in the 200 breast (2:00.03) in the win over Florida State (11/20), while also turning in a second-place finish in the 200 IM (1:50.24) … Earned CollegeSwimming.com and SEC Male Swimmer of the Week honors after winning both the 100 (55.78) and 200 breast (2:01.03) and swimming the second leg of the winning 400 MR (3:18.51) against Kentucky (11/8) … Topped the field in the 200-meter breast (2:21.24) and swam the breaststroke leg of the first-place 400-meter MR (3:52.98) in the road win over Georgia (10/25) … Won the 200-meter breast (2:21.04) and took second in the 100-meter breast (1:07.03) versus Michigan (10/19-20) … Narrowly missed his first NCAA B cuts of the year in both the 200 breast (2:00.82) and the 400 IM (3:55.33), winning both events in the road defeat of Minnesota (10/13) … Won the 100 breast (56.44) in the season-opening victory over Virginia (10/11).

2006-07: Picked up his first career All-America honor in the 200 breast with a personal-best time of 1:57.19, good for 13th place, at the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis (3/15-17) … Also placed 19th in the 400 IM with a career-best time of 3:50.04 … Took fifth in both 200 breast (1:57.72) and the 400 IM (3:51.02) at the SEC Championships (2/7-10) … Also placed 12th in the 500 free (4:27.75) at the league meet … Totaled three All-SEC honors at his first conference championships … Won the 1,000 free (9:21.36) and exhibitioned the 200 breast in an NCAA provisional-qualifying time of 1:59.97 in the win over Tennessee (1/26) … Notched a win in the 400 IM (3:54.07) and finished third in the 200 fly (1:50.18) in the tri-meet sweep of Alabama and South Carolina (1/20) … Recorded his first career NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 200 breast (2:00.09) en route to a runner-up finish in the event against Auburn (1/19) … Won the 500 free (4:31.99) versus Indian River CC (1/13) … Turned in an 11th-place finish in the 200-meter breast (2:22.46) and a 24th-place showing in the 200-meter IM (2:10.41) at the U.S. Open in West Lafayette, Ind.
