High School: Three-time Florida state champion…Florida High School Athletics Association champion in the 100 breast in 2002 (56.55) and 2001 (56.08) and the 200 IM in 2001 (1:51.63)…His time of 56.08 was the third-fastest in state championship meet history and a Class 2A record…Named a finalist in 2003 for the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Swimmer of the Year…In 2002, also placed second at the state meet in 200 IM (1:50.77) and third in the 200 MR (1:39.34)…Member of the USA Swimming National Junior team in 2001…Selected to the 2002 USA Swimming Scholastic All-America team…Junior Nationals champion in the 100 breast in 2000…Achieved three No. 1 national rankings in the 15-16 boys' age group in 2001: 100-meter breast, 200-meter breast and the 100 breast…Set Florida state records in the 15-16 boys' 200-meter breast and 200 breast and the 13-14 boys' 100-meter and 100 breast…Was the MVP on his high school team final three years.
