1999-2000: At NCAA Championships, he was the only freshman to represent the Gators...Earned Honorable Mention All-America status by placing 12th in the 200m Breast with a time of 2:12.85...placed 28th in the 100m Breast preliminaries, touching the wall in 1:02.14...at SEC Championships, placed third in 200 breast, timing 1:58.10...took first in consolation finals of 100 breast, touching the wall in 55.42...placed first in 200 breast against Georgia and Florida State.

Prior to Florida: 1999 graduate of Lake Brantley High School...five-time All-American...two-time champion at Florida State Meet during senior year in 200 IM (1:52.84) and 100 breast (57.26)...took first place in 200 IM and third in the 100 breast at state meet in 1997...holds school records for 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 IM...part of All-American 200 medley team...notched four gold medals at state championships his senior years...helped Lake Brantley to state championships in water polo in 1998 and 1999...was a Merit Scholar and Athletic Scholar...set personal best times in 100 breast (56.75), 200 breast (2:02.18), and 200 IM (1:53.11) at American Short Course Championships.
