National/International Competition: Had time of :50.1 in the 100m free at the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials... swam personal-best time of 1:54.42 in the 200-yard back at the 1997 Spring Junior Nationals...won the consolation final of the 100 back at 1997 Spring Junior Nationals in a personal-best 50.69...also clocked personal-best in the 200 free (1:43.15) at 1997 Junior Nationals.

1999-2000: At NCAA Championships, earned six All-America honors, tying for the team lead with Alex Lopez...earned first team honors as the lead-off member of the 200m Free Relay team that placed eighth with a time of 1:28.53...individually, earned Honorable Mention honors in the 100m Free, placing ninth with a time of 48.34...lead-off man for 400m Free Relay team that placed ninth in time of 3:15.70...anchor of 200m Medley Relay team that placed 10th in time of 1:38.52...anchor of 400m Medley Relay team that placed 11th, clocking a time of 3:36.55...at SEC Championships, broke UF record in 50 free with time of 19.80 as part of 200 free relay team...gold medalist in 100 freestyle with time of 43.39...took fourth place in 100 back, touching the wall in 48.11...placed eight in 50 free competition with time of 19.82...was ninth-highest point scorer of the meet...named to SEC Academic Honor Roll.

1998-99: At the NCAA Championships, won three honorable mention All-American honors as member of Gators' 14th-place 200 free relay, 14th-place 400 free relay, and 16th-place 400 medley relay team...individually at NCAAs, placed 28th in the 100 free (44.47) and 44th in the 50 free (20.42)...at the SEC Championships, finished 13th in both the 100 free (44.64) and the 100 back (49.87)...also at the conference meet was a member of the Gator 200 free relay which took fourth place in a time of 1:20.44...at the Auburn Invitational, clocked career best time of 20.16 for the 50 free lead off split on UF's 200 free relay, propelling the foursome to a season-best time of 1:19.43 which stands fifth in the Gator record books...His 50 free time from the event is tied for eighth best in Florida history...also recorded career best in the 100 free (44.34s) at the Auburn Invitational.

1997-98: At the SEC Championships, recorded three season-best times by finishing 17th in the 100 back (50.89), 19th in the 100 free (45.49) and 31st in the 50 free (20.99).

High School: 1997 graduate of Brooke Point High School in Stafford, Va...runner-up in the 100-yard back and third in the 100 free at the 1997 Virginia High School State Championships...1997 regional and district champion in the 100 free and 100 back...placed fifth in the 100 free and seventh in the 100 back at the 1996 state meet...State record holder in the 100 back...high-point scorer at the state meet in 1995 and '96...team captain at Brooke Point H.S. in 1996 and 97 and earned all-league and all-district selections ...named Free Lance Star All-Area Athlete and Potomac News Men's Swimmer of the Year...team captain of club team as well...swam at Brooke Point under Mike Vanderburg and Quantico Devil Dolphins under Don Regenbogen.

Personal: Born Nathan Wesely Summers on September 28, 1979, in Pensacola, Fla...honor roll member and Student Council representative at Brooke Point HS...member of Drama Club and Letterman's Club...enjoys biking, golf and soccer...also played soccer, tennis and baseball at Brooke Point...majoring in exercise physiology.
