Runner-up in both the 50- and 100-meter freestyle at the 1997 Brazilian Summer Nationals...Brazilian champion in the 19-and-under division in the 100 free with a then-personal-best time of 50.40 in 1995...South American record holder as a member of the 200 free relay...claimed five gold medals in the South American Championships for club team in 1994...club also in '98 broke the South American record in the 200 medley as Hornos swam the anchor leg in 22.90...will represent Brazil in the World Cup in November in the 50 meters.
1998 - Lowered personal-bests in both the 50- and 100 free...placed 13th in the 100 free (45.25), while tying for 17th in the 50 free (20.78) and finishing 18th in the 200 free (1:40.40)...named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll. 1997 - Finished 23rd in both the 100- (45.97) and 200-yard free (1:41.33), while also placing 28th in the 50 free (21.00).
A 1993 graduate of The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Fla...swam for Bolles under current UF women's coach Gregg Troy.
